Poyopoyo coming to the world!

The round-bodied cat Poyo stars in his own anime this Winter, based on Ruu Tatsuki's 4-panel manga Poyopoyo Kansatsu Nikki ("Poyopoyo Observation Diary"). Now Crunchyroll has announced a simulcast—you can catch Poyopoyo on Saturdays at 4:00 PM Pacific starting January 7th.

Here's the official synopsis:

More Football anime abounds. First there was Giant Killing, now there is The Knight in the Area

Crunchyroll has secured more shonen sports for its winter lineup. The Knight in the Area, based on the soccer manga Area no Kishi by Hiroaki Igano and Kaya Tsukiyama, will stream Fridays at 2:30 PM Pacific starting January 6th.

The official synopsis reads:

“The Knight in the Area tells the stories of middle and high school students as they grow up through their soccer clubs, compete in national tournaments, and strive for world titles. Main character Kakeru, his respected elder brother Suguru, and childhood friend Nana Mishima, along with all the teammates, rivals from other schools, and world class soccer players around him radiate their own brilliant light as they face adolescence with all their strength. The story also incorporates the strong bond between Kakeru and Suguru, the love of their family, the friendship of their teammates and rivals, and fleeting first loves... all coming together to ignite passion in the hearts of all viewers.”

The Knight in the Area will be viewable in: USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.

twinting = Twitter Hinting

It'll catch on.
And I take it what MangaUK could be called "Twatting"?

To be honest, it's gotten to the point where I want a UK stream that isn't absolute rubbish, so I'd watch anything xD

The situation of Crunchyroll and AoD being "in competition" is always lamentable BUT WHO CARES WHEN NISEMONOGATARI WILL BE SIMULCAST woooo~~

Well, £5 a month (plus Shin-Chan, hey, AOD, offer me shinchan (Or Sgt Frog) and I'll dance like a monkey) is better put to Space Pirates than an unknown amount of time with Brave 10.

Surprise announcement after they filled all the TBD boxes...

Listen to Me, Girls, I'm Your Father! (Papa no Iu wo Kikinasai!)

Okay. So the latest otaku fad is... Woody Allen?

Hasn't that always been the otaku fad?

What's coming with the DVDs? And when will you stop encouraging people to release things on DVD? I'm sure you could get the laserdisc version if you asked hard enough. :p

I'm just used to typing it ;_; I'll buy whatever they put out. Don't worry, I'll probably get into the habit of typing BD about the time the next format breaks the mainstream.

So far for me;

Space Pirates; Really good, surprisingly so. The ED's become this season's "Beauty of Destiny" (P4's 1st ED) in that I have it on loop.

Nisemonogatari; The first part bored me to tears (Hey, Japan, Family Guy isn't funny because they mention Transformers once in a while, OK?) and apparently there was some creeper I missed out on so yeah. No sale there.

...I'm your father!; The story of University life cut short by the advance attack of adult life in the form of three nieces. Not aired, instead we get another freaking lurid lolicon pos. I should have seen it coming, really.

PoyoPoyo; The emotional equivalent of a Milky Way, tasty for when it's there but otherwise nonexistant. Doesn't need to be anything else though.

Ahaha, in this case I shall let you off.

Well, it's probably less objectionable than Gary Glitter at any rate.
Ah, the other otaku fad, indeed.
