UK Anime Distributor Crunchyroll/Funimation/Manga UK Discussion Thread

I see Crunchyroll’s milking Akira for everything it’s worth. It would’ve been nice to have seen some different artwork though. This will be the third release in a row that’s reused these same pieces (in the US.)

I actually got one of those viewing reports in an email from Crunchyroll last year around this time, and I even contacted them and said that was a great idea and they should send those reports out after the end of each anime season, 4 times a year. Good to see they are doing it again this year as an annual report, at least. I haven't seen a report from them this year yet over here in the US, but I'll have to keep my eye out for one. How did you guys receive this report over there this year? Email? Through their app or website?

EDIT: OK, I did a search online and found it's an app-only feature this year. So maybe the email I received last year was just a trial/experimental thing. Hopefully my response back to them last year helped spur this into being a regular new feature from them!

Looks like crunchyroll can't decide on a top genre for us @D1tchd1gger. I would have had Freiren as my favourite, as I thought I'd watched the Quintuplets last year heh. But yeah those would be joint with Monogatari off the top of my head for 2024 but there are probably more as I thought this was a strong year for new releases and returning classics.

I watched it back because I skipped to the overview page earlier and this is what I got in the genre category:

I think the favourite is by number of episodes watched. Did you watch all of the Quints episodes and movie? That's 25 eps. And did you watch Frieren as it aired as it started last year and thus some wouldn't count.
My top 3 were Frieren (28 eps), The Apothecary Diaries (24 eps) and JJK2 (20 eps as I had watched the first 3 when they aired last year, but finished it off this year).
