well i stayed at home this morning to call the local GP bang on 8.45 and spoke to a receptionist (after waiting 2minutes of ringing) and asked to see the minor illness nurse. (been advised by my parents that i need antibiotics....i think my immune systems doing a good enough job asit is) but it turns out the nurse is in the rough end of luton....the other side of town. and i really can't be bothered to go so early in the morning. so i ask if my family doctor is in....she said no....asked if i can book an appointment with any doctor and got "their all full for the day" i said "you only just opened" complete P*** take. so decided "sod the NHS, time to see to this myself" so went to the CO-OP and bought 2 packets of soother, coughmixture, ibuprofen and a 2 litre bottle of fanta. since i got into work and have started on the slf medication.....my throat feels alot better and i've not coughed once....one side Effect........the cough mixture smells horrible and tastes like liqourish crossed with antibacterial floor and surface cleaner. not nice

Mornin' guys.

Good luck with that Tach, I know what you mean. When I went with my sinus problem a year or so back I was just told "Well it's not going to get any better"

How much Higurashi d'you get through Panda? :p

13472 but Tach that's how you know the mixture is good for you  (the smell and taste that it is, after all anything that tastes good can't be healthy  )

Morning all :)

Ah that's terrible! I don't know why we bother to have GPs, it's almost impossible to see one when you actually need them. You're better by the time you can get an appointment! So, good luck with the self-medication (I like the idea that fanta will help cure you, that's my kind of medication!) :D
Completely off the subject, but a half naked man has just walked in to my office asking for the phone number of the Drug Interventions Programme...I get the feeling it's going to be a really random day... :D
Morning Ayase and Blackwolf, hope you are both well
I got through to episode 17 of Higurashi, you were right, I do feel like I'm starting to understand a bit more!

13474 hi Panda yeah i'm fine, but that for the NHS isn't that bad, it took me a week to make an appointment and apparently the next earliest appointment they had was a week away  and in the end the doctor just ended up throwing antibiotics at me  Thing is though i don't think the NHS was as bad as this when i was growing up

I finished Higurashi last night. :D There's obviously still a lot more to be revealed though. We definately need to know more about Rika by the end. Itching to start Higurashi Kai now, but I'm gonna make myself finish the slightly messy Space Symphony Maetel first. My views of that series go up and down like a yo-yo with each episode.

The problem with the NHS now is that people are living longer and needing treatment for more of their lives. No easy way to solve that that I can see...

might aswell have double shifts like hospitals. night GP staff and day GP staff. but yes im feeling alot better.

sat eating bombay mix......a big bag.....lol

well it looks like my birthday won't be a blow out :p

*pulls out chainsaw* okay ayase, are you ready to help the NHS??

Ayase - I just had some very interesting bits of story with Rika, so I can't wait to see where that goes. I glad that some of the arcs are starting to fit together now, and are actually referring back to things that we've already seen, rather than seeming to be completely individual.
