Sorry, had the Monday morning rush to contend with at work. Soo, you are now the proud owner of a PS3! Nice!! What will your first PS3 gaming experince be then mate?

Looks like I'm having a busy one today. OMG! The election thread gained another 5 pages since I last looked at it too. o_O

Voddas... don't even bother looking at the election thread now. It turned into the CitizenGeek experience. As flamewars go I had a fire extiguisher and a molotov and couldn't quite decide which to use...

Mornin' Black. So, my PS3 story... I logged in to HMV last night and the expected ship out date for my PS3 had grown to December, no less. So I had a scout around and found that Argos had an offer of PS3 + LBP + GT5 Prologue and a load of (slightly crappy) accesories for £300 :eek:

Problem is I bought GT5 last week... so off I go to Gamestation and swap my GT5 for Motorstorm. :p Then on to Argos and I have an extra game for no more money! :D

Had to be LBP first really didn't it?

My Sackboy is Orange with a Blue helmet, which due to a misplaced sticker now has a picture of a rainbow baseball boot on it. Unique, if nothing else... :lol: Ah, feels good to have the old sixaxis back in my hands again after so long...

13026 :lol: I saw that offer as well on TV, if i had the money i would of been really tempted (despite the fact that i don't lilke Gran Turismo...or any driving game where you have to win by racing, i prefer the ones where i can win by just being the last car standing :twisted: )

I also saw that thread devolve , a shame really (though none of the evidence presented in there really surprised me anyway)

I tend to be pretty good at racing games Black... insanely competetive too I might add. :twisted:

Hate post count threads, but tired of lurking here so I'll relax my rigid ways a little.

Almost all PS3 games autosave to the HDD - you can quit by holding the PS button and a handy menu will pop up. But why would you want to stop playing LBP? Real life can wait...

Make sure you log onto the UK PSN store and grab the limited Sackboy pumpkin head and spacesuit before Thursday - they're free!

As i say i'm no good at "Serious driving games" (Gran Turismo, F1, Need For Speed, Rally Driving games, Midnight Club etc etc) However games like Burnout, Mashed, Circuit Breakers and Mario Kart i'm normally quite good at. In fact on burnout i'm a pro at the Takedown type (thanks to my reckless driving style :lol: ) Bascially give me a driving game with weapons and the ability to win a race by being the only car left and i'll give it a go.

Btw what size was the harddrive? and how is the "impossible to do" Dual Shock 3?

I'll post more about LBP in Tachi's proper thread once I've had a good go on it, but I've five more games to try yet!

@Black - it's an 80gig. I don't buy into the 160gb models. £40 more for an extra 80gig? £40 can get you at least a 320gig drive these days. Impossible Dual Shock? Seems fine to me... and don't get me started on instruction booklets...

Ahem, aside from my juvenile number-griefing it's a shame this thread is so well hidden. We should make a Super Happy Love Love Club chat thread or something (an unappealing name, so nobody who wants to flame accidentally enters) for a similar thing, to lure in friendly newbies too.

13029 Actually i thought about that before :p I'm sure a thread like that would fit in well with the Random Chit-Chat section. Though the name i thought about giving it would of had people confused with a 80s movie :p (Breakfast Club since that was the unoffical name of this place)

Ayase: my impossible comment came from something Sony said a while back when people asked as to why there was no rumble in the SIXAXIS controllers :lol:

My husband reckons that the motion sensing games are harder with the DS3 than the much lighter SIXAXIS.

As I hate all motion sensing games with a passion (with the exception of fl0w as it's relaxing and pointless) I can't say I've noticed. I have two of each type but we mainly use the DS3s unless friends are over. The rumble is fun in games like LBP to tell you when you're about to toast your sackboy in a fire.

It's a good idea in principle for a new thread Rui, but the fact that ::ahem:: certain people find the whole counting thing pointless and boring serves to make sure that they only make one post here every few months about how pointless and boring it is. And you don't mess with the numbers that easily. ;) If you think that's screwed up, we have counted for a good while both 1000 numbers behind, and 10000 numbers ahead and no-one noticed. :lol:

Yeah though we do always find out...normally thanks to you :p but i always thought that putting the number down now was a formality something we do because of "Tradition" :p

I doubt i will be able to experince a difference between the sixaxis and the DS3 because by the time i get ahold of a PS3, DS3 will be standard in the packages i guess. That argos package is at the right price for me now (i paid more then that for my 360 at launch)

I'm regretting putting Gran Turismo in now as the updates are taking forever.

We should think about a new thread at some point. Even I, keeper of the numbers, get sick of it sometimes. On a related note I'm readying a blog at the moment so I can to some degree separate opinion (what I want to do there) from conversation (what I want to do here). You're all invited to it's grand opening of course. ;)

I would be interested in reading that. I keep one myself only it's not really worthy of public consumption - more just me getting my thoughts in order and later looking back and wondering about patterns in my mood swings ;)

God I hate Mondays with a passion!!

I've always been tempted to start a Blog, but for the same reasons as Rui. My own internet diary. I guess now I've got the Radio Show that's kinda covered in a way. ^__^

Finally completed Clannad and started on FMP: 2nd Barrage last night. Clannad wasn't my usuall choice with it being a lovey kinda anime. Still enjoyed it like. Prefer FMP however. Heheh.

I may end up getting a new blog soon enough though i wish i could say its going to be intresting but that would be a lie as it supposed to be about games programming and development, to break the illusion that its easy work.
