Count to a Million

It is sadly only for PS3 *tear roles down cheek*
Little Big Planet basicly looks like a cute Garrys Mod for the console generation. I'm almost tempted to buy a PS3 for it however the thumb of the misses would come down hard and fast lol. My brother-in-law is buying it so I'll still get a play.

Bravo Tach, that could have ended very badly. :p

Yeah its another sony exclusive.
(which is stupid because the companys would make more money if they didn't restrict people, but then again i do see the reason, its a sales technique "if they want to play this new brilliant game they'll have to buy our consoles to do it" but then after a year or two the prices drop and its no longer worth it....so they release it for other consoles and get not only the interest back...but sales rise again)

one thing for anyone who's going to get the game...rockets and wall....not good idea

10,321 - I was planning on getting LBP, but I'm too impressed with Rock band.
I'm planning to sell my PS2 and all the stuff I've got (not much, TBH) so eBay for me soon.

*Man emerges from the mist, battle scars plague his armour*

The King of Braves is still alive but GaoGaiGar is no more, but i will fight on!

*heroic pose*

Anyway....

Tach LBP is an exclusive because Sony is the one publishing it  plus i found out the developers are home grown british people who managed to escape from Lionhead Studios :D Banzai for british developers making great games eh? :p Though sadly i can not justify the purchase of a PS3 for this one game...it weighs heavily in its favour but the PS3 line up is missing a certain something (i've already said a dozen times what it is so i'm not going to repeat myself :p)

10323 - I actually got me a ps3 recently and I'm quuite happy with it. One game I'm considering playing it Folklore, which I was told by a friend that I would like.

LBP was developed in Britain? Great news =)
So how's your attempt into the industry going Wolf?
Need a server side developer?

is that game a pokemon game black? ;)

As its only the beta it won't be in the actual game unless the person who made it makes it in the real game and posts it onto the game planet (you have your story planet, games planet where others post their invertions and games and your invertion planet where you create anything you want)

here's a brief idea of what some people have done, as i said it won't be in the proper game so it wont spoil anything it will just give an idea of what you could do:

Someones made a level with a dragon and cannon...you turn the handle to set the aim of the cannon, pulling left on the handle moves the cannon up some degrees and right moves it down some degrees, there's a button you have to jump on and that fires things at this dragon...which spits out fireballs and everytime you successfully fire a cannon into its stomach (through its open mouth) you get a point, however the dragon doesn't just sit there...it aims for you on its own accord and rocks back and forth to avoid your attacks, after so many points you kill it and explosions happen as the dragon expoldes and you get to the end :)

another is a clever version of wipeout...the spins and turns on it are excellently done, must of taken the maker along time.

there's also a lemmings level, a sonic the hedgehog level and ben made a super sackbro's level (mario-esq level)

MY try at a level....was crap lol
my racecar goes up a ramp, goes into a crazy spin in the air....loses control of direction, height and barrel roles along in the air till gravity pulls it down.
tried to control it abit better bytweaking the rockets on the back but as i put them at the bottom back end, so it was off balance in the air from the start.

I've got folklore Chaos, its a good game, but i got so far into the story and realised i have to do something that i didn't have the patience for so haven't played it since.

10324 tomorrow i think we find out if we made it to the interview stage, which means i need to check if my buisness clothes still fit and are clean, if we nail that then we're through and then in 6 months time we are techincally in the games industry though for the past three i've been a part of it already  ...i just wasn't paid for it :p

10326

Hear hear Black! British games developers have always been the best. Rockstar (formerly DMA, who also made lemmings), Lionhead, Psygnosis (hands up who remembers them :p) er... I'm stalling here but I know there's more. The guys who made Frontier Elite II?

10327 - if you don't want it anymore, care to sell it to me Tachi?

@Black - the not being paid part sucks... Back home there is virtually no game industry at all, considering brazilian pirate everything . It's sad, but it's a reality.

10328 @Ayase Reflections is in the UK (Driver Series) Free Radical (Timesplitters) Black Rock Studios (that new racing game that came out which i don't know the name of) Rare (Donkey Kong Country, Golden Eye,Perfect Dark Jet Force Gemni, Sabre Wulf) Team 17 are english as well (Worms)

@Tach no that game isn't a pokemon game :p its the almighty Zone of the Enders 3, seriously Hideo Kojima has no excuse now that MGS4 has been released, and i'm not paying for a PS3 until i see screenshots of that game :p (as long as i've got the money of course) as looking around those are the two games i would probably play on nothing else is intresting me that i can't get on the 360

EDIT: Chaos yeah not being paid was a downer but i got experince behind me now...not much but its something

i would, but im unsure on payment mate, never used paypal before =/

10331

Chaos to answer your question i'll let you see the opening of the game :p

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/HRM0-smbVOg&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/HRM0-smbVOg&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

for those who have youtube blocked at work i'll give you the disappointingly short answer: Yes i would, not everyone would mind but i would certainly do it, Zone of the Enders is the game that sold me on the PS2 (along with the prospect of Gundam games and Devil May Cry)

10334 afternoon Fox :p

@Chaos That's not actually a bad description :p it has its own style and i do wish that they made gundam games like that my only problem is that the games are short, ZoE 1 was painfully short and ZoE2 was still too short compared to other games, but it was one hell of a ride plus the anime and OVA actually tie into the game's storyline and background quite nicely and in some cases the two refrence each other

10335

Hey Fox. I think they were part of Sony by then though. I remember them for Barbarian on the Amiga (though actually I've just found out that was Australian. Oh well.)

*sits up at desk*

I've been here all along but unable to write due to work load. Good read tho, heh. Hi guys I hadn't said hi to previously. Hope everyone's day is going smoothely.

I'm off to lunch now so you'll have to excuse me.

*takes a bow and exits dragging and very heavy briefcase behind*

10338 afternoon Voddas

*Voddas shaped blur goes past*

C'ya after lunch Voddas :p

To be honest at first glance it seems as there is very few developers in this country but there's a lot more, there's also a lot of low key developers heck there's 7 computer game companies in middlesbrough (watch this space as that number is going to be increasing  )

In anime news i finally watched Karas last night, and one smiley will sum it up for me: ":?"
