Code Geass- Lelouch of the Rebellion

Watched the first episode a while ago. Thought it was promising, but a lot of the characters seemed clichéd and cookie cutter (aside from the design). Pacing seemed a little off too. However, I look forward to the DVD releases!

The characterisation gets way better as the series goes on, the evolution of characters motives and doubts cumulates brilliantly at the end.

now i think about it did lulu ever use geass on kallen? maybe he did and she fired the shot :/

Suzaku knows about the geass so i think he would have shot him before he got the chance to use it on her.
He already used it on her - when they first met at school, so he could question her. This was also when he discovered he could only use it once.

Personally, I suspect Nunally stopped either of them from getting killed. But we'll see.

I agree! Nunally for sure stop them and I read somewhere that Nunally's power is to predict the future don't know if that's true tho.

that's only in the alternate universe manga
Maybe V.V. may give Nunally a geass power for some reason.

figured it out atlast, The truth is Kallen admitted she's a guy and the gun shot was lulu/suzukau shooting themselves

it suddenly all makes sence

Is the second series going to be called Suzaku of the Counterattack? I remember hearing that somewhere.... Anyway, this series was great overall, even to the last episode. The last episode made me question my judgement of making Lelouch the protagonist.

Not that i know of, from what i know, Lelouch is still the protagonist of the series in S2. Which is good, Suzaku isn't someone thats cut out to be a protagonist to be honest.

suzaku of the counterattack in the name of the 2nd half of the manga(or is it noval), nothing to do with the series

i think its the novels, since the manga is based around Nunally and her getting a geass of her own.

There are three manga spin-off's. The main one is a retelling of the show (though there are differences), the second is Code Geass: Suzaku of the Counterattack, which retells the story but for Suzaku's point of view. Again there are differences, but the general out line of the plot is the same. Code Geass: Nightmare of Nunnally is the final spin off and has about as much to do with the orginal plot as a pink flamingo with a top hat, moncle and cane (bonus points if you get the reference). Nunnally forms a contract with a deformed mushroom like thing allowing her to turn into a nightmare frame with dreadlocks (or facial tentacles) and a cod piece. :?

There... yeah, that part there... That just freaked me out. XD
Interesting to hear about the spin-offs. This kinda reminds me of .hack//Another Birth, in that they had it based on the games from BlackRose's point of view. But even that had suttle differences to the game. Still, all more enjoyable. :D
