Robotech was a major cornerstone of my early anime life due to its quality and having recently rewatched it the high regard I held it in was certainly well deserved.
Quite shocking as he'd been more active in the industry again recently. I didn't like some of his work myself, but an awful lot of fans were born out of what he did. Sad to lose an important pioneer of western anime like this
I applaud him for what he did in the eighties, even though it didn't end up helping us a great deal with the fuss the Macross license is in over here. Still a legendary name among the industry has gone. R.I.P
