These two have both shown tremendous popularity here in the past. Do they still have it?

Sousuke Sagara from Full Metal Panic!

He's not a nerd, he's a specialist! The one-man army and ace mecha pilot who causes havoc trying to be a high-school student and bodyguard. Sousuke is the main character of the series, pilot of the Armed Slave ARX-7 Arbalest, and bodyguard to Kaname Chidori... whenever he isn't getting beaten to a pulp by her instead.
 
I vote for Sousuke Sagara as I know nothing about the other dude, although his description makes him sound pretty great tbh lol
 
It's gotta be Negi - he's such a lovable goof, with a heart of gold underneath all the comic bluster. Plus, he can blow girls' clothes off by sneezing and he actually has a British accent in the English dub of Negima (even though he's supposed to be Welsh).
 
Oof! These initial matchups really hurt. Negi is awesome, one of my favourite protagonists ever. I like Sousuke even more though so my vote goes to Sousuke Sagara.
 
Hmm, tough one this. I've seen some of the material for each but not the whole story for either. I'm aware that Negi's story changes a lot as it goes along and I think Full Metal Panic has some variation too. Tessa was robbed earlier so I guess I have some extra sympathy for Sousuke but then he won't be able to go up against Tessa so that's a bit of a shame. I'll have to think about this one.
 
My vote goes to Sagara-san.
Like Smeelia, I have sympathy for Tessa, as I was force to pick her opposition. I will make sure Sousuke will defend her pride!
That and even though I like both these characters and the stories, I've kinda grown away from Negi more than Sousuke. You military nut! :)
