The rumours were true; the next Japanese Godzilla movie will be a period piece set right after World War II.

I'm getting flashbacks to the agonising wait from when the first Shin Godzilla trailer dropped until I was finally able to see the movie the following year.

Looks like the Bruce Lee at Golden Harvest boxset is shipping out soon - Arrow Video just charged my card for their store exclusive variant.

Thanks for sharing, this is awesome news.

After Amazon not content with leaking distributors titles leaked them months ago, HMV have finally announced for 11th September!
Yes, they are rigid cases 🎉

Shinji Somai’s beloved cult film Typhoon Club is widely heralded as the director’s seminal feature and considered to be one of the greatest Japanese films ever made.

Offering a caustic immersion into the lives of disaffected junior high students on the cusp of adulthood, Typhoon Club features a lively cast of young talent including idol Youki Kudoh (The Crazy Family, Mystery Train) facing existential intrigues, budding sexuality, and rising social tensions in the days leading up to a typhoon’s arrival. Stranded in their schoolhouse as the storm settles in, the group undergoes an awakening as they dispel all insecurities, fear and desire under the swell of the tempest.

Guard-from-Underground-0-ring_1024x1024.jpg

Before becoming one of Japan’s most well-known horror directors through films like Cure, Pulse and Creepy, Kiyoshi Kurosawa started off his career in horror with 1992’s The Guard from Underground, the final film of the ‘Director’s Company’.

Kiyoshi Kurosawa here fashions a dark tale that is both a sharp satire of corporate life and a B-movie thriller. A former sumo wrestler now working as a security guard goes on a murderous rampage in the company that’s employed him.

All now up for pre-order at Terracotta!

Third Window looking at Radiance and saying 'them some good looking covers you got there. Be a shame if someone... copied them!!!'
To be fair it's a cool concept. Third Window did mention this style is primarily exclusive to the Director's Company line-up of films. Evil Dead Trap would have been included but someone beat them to the UK license by just a few days (my guess is Arrow) which is also unfortunate as it'll be using the old master than the one Third Window has found.

Either way I have those three films ordered through Terracotta (does mean I'll be waiting until November to get all three together). I also used up some points on 88 Film's store to get Fight Back to School Trilogy, The Postman Fights Back and Taxi Hunter ordered together since they're all out this month.

88 Films have revealed some of their Autumn line-up of releases.

Saw a trailer for a 2 part film called The Witch.
It had Elfen Lied vibes.
I'm going to buy it but wondered if anyone has seen it?
They're both great films that after seeing I described to my brother as Korean Stranger Things meets Dragon Ball Z 😂 and if you plan on getting the US blu rays great 👍🏻

But In the UK be warned! the only way is with a Shudder subscription or purchasing digital on Prime but either way both are horrendously out of synch in the subs!

Edit: also available on Apple & YouTube but can't comment on their subs, as it's a Shudder license I wouldn't be surprised if its the same master file and they're borked too 🤷‍♂️

By no means a sale (or even a good price) but I'm guessing quite a few people defaulted on their payments to HMV for the Enter The Dragon steelbooks as both the Cine Edition and Ultimate Edition are now back in stock.
