Vampire Ninja
Just wanted to know if these shows are worth checking out:

Samurai Deeper Kyo
I heard that this is a average samura show. Ive seen a couple of AMVs and it doesnt look all bad.

Naruto Shippuden the movie.
The series is good so far, Is the movie any good?

Escaflowne
heard alot of good things about this show.

Of the three I would say that Escaflowne is easily the best (the series is better than the movie though).

Samurai Deeper Kyo is good but there are better samurai shows (if you have a region 1 player try Rurouni Kenshin).

Not seen any of Naruto Shippuden yet so I don't know about that but I have heard that it is good.

Here are some reviews for all three,

With Samurai Deeper Kyo the manga is better (but it is rather long).

Escaflone = Legend (in series type and reputation). Out of the 3, it's far superior in my opinion.
However, that's only going from the series of Naruto Ship and not the movie. I've not seen it myself.

I like my Samurai shows, but SDK didn't hit me too well. I tried the anime and manga, but none stuck to me.

Escaflowne is by far the best and is easily one of the finest anime series ever made and even since its release way by in the mid 90,s in my opinion it still stands as one of the last truly great classic anime shows, everything about it is near perfect, the music, animation, story and character development,it is one of those shows that even now when i watch it i get a buzz that i,m watching something special.

Haven't seen Escaflowne... Mmmm Anime Legends....

The Shippuden movie is exactly the same as the three Naruto movies, except he's a little bit taller.

SDK was the most tedious, boring, dull, leaden nonsense I ever slept through.

largely true. But I would add, from someone who like me who generally prefers to watch a dub - the dubbing on Escaflowne is generally average with one really damn awful character which really grates

Almost odd to see people come out in full support of Escaflowne. Always struck me as a series that everyone liked, but no-one specifically loved. Still, not enough Mecha / Fantasy hybrids (there's what... Aura Battler Dunbine?)

Quite a few people have told me they love Escaflowne.

Myself, I'm curious about it, and the mecha do look fantastic, very original. But the premise, if I'm honest, doesn't appeal to me.

Magic Knights Rayearth? And yes, Escaflowne is the greater show from the three options given.

Give it a go, when I first caught sight of it on Anime Central (A-N-I-M-EEEEEEE) I thought it looked so-so. When I actually watched it I couldn't have been more wrong. Its really good.

Magic Knight rayearth is also good.

Is Durarara worth getting into? I'm tempted to take it on via Crunchy after I've finished with my Black Lagoon Boxset.

It's only the best show ever. If you can, I'd suggest watching Baccano! first though. They aren't strictly related, but DRRR is like a spiritual successor to it.

EDIT: Read in general conversation you have watched BAC and stuff, so yeah, get on DRRR asap.
