UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

After seeing a couple of bundles in the spring sale for £55, which seemed deliberately priced to leave you 50p below the free shipping threshold after using the Anime Unlimited code, it doesn't seem like they're interested in letting people easily deal with postage costs.

As the person who did all of the work on selecting, pricing and configuring our entire Spring Sale strategy, all I can say is that "stopping people getting free shipping" was never, and is never, a consideration. I wouldn't have made Rental Magica £49.99 if that was the case for starters! 😊

Don't know if anyone from the ATA website stalks this thread nowadays, but:

Users can get to this page by clicking Products > Deal of the Week. As you can see, it doesn't list anything. This may or may not be intentional - but the wording on the page seems to blame the user for the lack of offering. "No products found. Use fewer filters or remove all".

Might be worth changing the wording to something like "No offers this week, but please check again in the future". Or, remove the page from the menu entirely if this is a legacy thing. Just a suggestion, take it or leave it.
As we haven't actively run a Deal of the Week promotion in a while (as we have too much new stuff to release!), I've removed this from the store headers and disabled it for now - we can just turn it back on as and when we need it.

(For reference, the message is a generic cross-store one that you'll always get when a page gives no results for any reason)

Genuinely shocked its Anime Limited who got it and not Crunchyroll as they have it coming out next week in the US!
A win for consistency.
Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun Season 2 and Season 3 are Crunchyroll after all, part of the latest announcements:
Crunchyroll Home Entertainment Release Schedule May to July 2025 • Anime UK News

I would guess the BBFC incorrectly listed them just copying the info from Season 1? Unless I overlooked it, entirely possible, I don't see the info on who submitted them on the BBFC website at all now.

Also glad to see Project A-ko among the coming Anime Limited preorders! :)

Iwakakeru is an interesting pick. I quite liked that show (review here).

It's nice to see a release date for Project A-ko. I've already bought that movie three times though, and the booklet probably isn't enough of a unique selling point to make me want to replace my Discotek copy. It really would have taken the inclusion of a soundtrack CD to tempt me; that movie has some amazing music.

Copy and paste a product listing?!
But that IS an AL move 😂

Jokes aside, feel bad for them having another title swiped out from under them. Was actually happy when I thought they'd got the remainder.

Who submitted it is listed in the industry details, if subsequent seasons were submitted by another company a new listing page is normally generated showing the new distributor.

A great shame there was such a big gap between the US and UK release of Project A-Ko. I own the US standard version, but I would have much preferred to buy any UK version, and especially the collectors edition.

For the folks who don't own it yet: it's well worth picking up. Gorgeous restoration. I watched it dubbed back in the day, but it's great to finally get the chance to see it with Japanese dialogue.

Anyway.... new pre-order news?

New pre-order news.

Will definitely be pre-ordering Project A-KO.

The Iwakakeru! CE set looks really nice though I haven't seen the show so I'll try and watch it before the EB goes up to see if it's worth getting the CE for it or not.

I'm yet to start collecting Naruto but I'll be going for the standard editions when I eventually do.

Eva I already own the CE for and Sing "Yesterday" For Me I will pick up but I'm in no rush so I'll wait for a sale down the line.

🎵Your imagination is all you really need
When you start believing love is just a kiss away🎵

It had been so long I forgot AL had A-Ko. Maybe one to pick up cheap at Christmas next year.

Still no Blood or Devilman 🥲

How do we know when the Unlimited renews? Must be soon
I think the only way is to email AL, I don't believe there's a way to on site.

If you go onto your account on the alltheanime website and click on your account profile (where your order history is) and then click "manage memberships" on the right hand side - click on "transactions" under payment history, it should then tell you when your last payments were made for the unlimited membership; which is when I assume it will renew (i.e., 1 year from the most recent payment date).

You can seemingly cancel your membership from that page too.

Thanks for that. I was using my phone earlier, scrolled down and saw the Manage Addresses but missed the Manage Subscription button (or stupidly mistook it as Manage Default)

Gives me just under a month to decide if I'm going to resubscribe or cancel
