UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

Amazon are now listing all editions of Godzilla Minus One as dispatching in 3-7 months after not receiving stock from ALšŸ˜¬

Just checked in on this internally and the next batch of Amazon stock is on its way to them, so this should clear up in the next few days (not the next few months as advertised!)

Keepinā€™ it simple this year.

Question unrelated to the sale; did Anime Limited ever give any indication as to whether they had plans to release season 2 of Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045? I'm hoping they wouldn't release just the first half, but I'm not sure that can be taken as a given.

I know a lot of people aren't fond of it, but I liked season 1, and shows being left unfinished isn't good in general.
Nope. I imagine a Season 2 license will likely hinge on if the first one does well. Iā€™m not a big fan of shows being dropped either. I do feel skimping on the English dub hurt SAC_2045ā€™s chances of being more successful since Netflix did manage to bring back the LA cast (which is a huge selling point, imo.) We probably wonā€™t know for awhile since the Japanese release of Season 2 came out late last year.

Blame Netflix for that, due to Hollywood accounting they haven't recouped the cost of the dub which means they retain the rights rather than them reverting to the production committee. When the dub is requested for a home video release Netflix are charging significantly more to use the dub than the cost to redub it, which is why Sentai do so.

Gkids are releasing The First Slam Dunk in 4k in February. Hope for Anime Limited to release one too?

Glad I didn't cave and get the Blu-ray. I'd love a UK release, but things seem to be moving more slowly at Anime Limited now that they've committed themselves to long-running projects in Bleach and Naruto.

Does anyone here have the Standard Editions for Gundam SEED that can confirm whether these are the same discs as the one in the Ultimate edition?

Those earlier discs have a wrong RGB profile encoded leading to some shenanigans with being able to watch the show in correct colours. Have the standard discs remedied this?

Not sure if its been mentioned or not but I was checking my orders/Account info page (essentailly clicked the person/account page) and noticed on the right there is "account details" followed by my address and a text link/ button for:
"Manage memberships" with pretty much the same as what we used to have with the old site.

We will - it's all in approvals currently so we're hoping for news soon!

This is definitely happening, so don't worry, we won't leave folks hanging!
