I'm just really disappointed that AL hasn't been able to sell me on anything new in awhile. I think mostly because most of the stuff I enjoyed over the last 2 years are FUNi licensed.

Anime Limited France they always use it. I wont be surprised if Amanchu has it too
We're actually using a different authoring house entirely for Amanchu - we've put a lot of work into QC on this one and personally I'm very happy with it!

In your opinion in my opinion it’s crap. There will never be one unifying sub font but I’ve seen more mixed to Al FRs than most other companies’ bar Sentai due to yellow

When I have to skip back and replay a scene to read the subs again, it’s really not. No word of a lie, two episodes and I went and booked an eye test.

I saw one scene just to check the sub font it wasn't great also learnt it defaults to french which made me laugh

Definitely not what I'd consider fine, like can I read them? Sure (or at least so far, only re-watched the first episode and half the second) but I'd massively prefer something else, I'd even take yellow subs over this crap. I may end up just watching the rest of the show on Crunchyroll tbh, won't be the first time I've ended up doing that with a Anime Limited BD (although in fairness the other was Durarara before they replaced the discs) and it won't be the last as AssClass Season 2 has problems with crushed blacks.

I wouldn't say they're too small to read no, like I can only speak for myself and for me personally the font is too thin and doesn't have enough of a black border around it.
Here's an example, which tbh doesn't look nearly as bad to me at my PC than it did on my TV from across the room...
