UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

When I was reading the light novel version of the Endless Eight I had it on my kindle and the text bugged out during it and kept looping back to the beginning whenever I got to a certain point - I couldn't tell if it was intentional or just a technical error, but it really spooked me out! Talk about meta!

Lol, that's somewhat awesome and scary at the same time. Glad I have a paper based version.

That is utterly beautiful.

I see it's also up to order on the AlltheAnime webstore. I'll keep my Amazon order as it dropped down to £37 a few weeks ago. Hopefully Amazon don't have the same issues as they do with Disney slipcovers when despatching pre-orders with first printings.
(They have no priority when despatching pre-orders)

Don't worry there'll be no problem. The first circulation of the title will be the Collector's Box version, but there is a limited print run of the box. So if you want it (and not just saying this for the sake of it) pre-order it sooner rather than later.

I was hoping Box 3 and the Collector's Box would be available at MCM in May, would it be possible or should I just pre-order anyway?

We'll have copies at MCM Comic Con in May as well :)!

Very nice, sets it apart from what I'd originally thought might just be a box with 1 side open to slip the 3 sets into

Good to hear the 1st run will guarantee a box too, had it on order from Amazon for a while now

Just pre-ordered part 2+3 from Amazon really hoping that I will get the Collector's Box ( ̄□ ̄;)!!

If I order it right now directly from Anime Limited am I guaranteed to get the Collector's Box?

It's a first print run bonus. If you pre-order part 3 then you are guaranteed to get the Box regardless of who you order from.

The box is alright, more custom than I thought they would go for, and its good that they listened to peoples feedback as it was something that a lot of people on Facebook and Twitter were asking for since the announcement of KLK being released in multiple parts. Its a little too...over-engineered for my tastes. All it needed was a simple slipbox, like the one that came with the Vol 1 Manman released in Australia. A little 'OCD', but why does the 'spine' have five stripes when there's only 3 volumes? :$ Its a design choice, but an odd one for me at least. Design wise its a bit plain with huge logos and a profile pic on one side and another on the outer spine, with her bottom half missing, but given the assets available and the fact that they weren't going to do a box at all at first, fair enough I guess. I have a feeling that the 1st press will last a while, even long after release. Its a miss for me in any case, for obvious reasons but it seems like everyone is happy, and it works to get people who might have otherwise waited to now go and pre-order. Good business move for Anime Limited to get pre-order numbers up and I can see more first press/pre-order bonuses down the line mimicking the way games have been for a while.

The box that they released in Aus:

Less special, more practical.

It's a nice box imo, although the actual character artwork seems kinda tacked on to me, but then if it was up to me it would be as simple as a matte black box with red trim and Kill la Kill down the spine, so what do I know lol.

I do appreciate that the didn't just go with the standard hole in the back that you stick your volumes in, made it a bit more interesting in how it opens, all in all I'm pretty happy with it.
