UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

Just noticed this from today's Newswire:

~ Just a small update this week on the Funimation title front. It’s news that we’re currently aiming for a release of High School DxD season 3 by the the end of October, however, and this is a fairly big however on this occasion, this will be subject to BBFC certification. So for now until we’ve heard back on this we’re just going to saying we’re aiming for end of October. Stay tuned for further updates!
I have two questions:

1) Has there been any communication from Funimation regarding the status of the second season, High School DxD New? Manga UK only previously released the first season.

2) So, I take it you guys aren't very confident that the series will clear BBFC certification? Is there any particular reason for this? It's admittedly been a while since I watched BorN, but I can't remember anything being more objectionable than season 1, which was released with an uncut 15 certificate.
Although admittedly, the whole rating process is very subjective and depends solely on the particular person reviewing the content...

How limited is the Your Lie In April artbox print run going to be? I may have to throw that on my credit card just to make sure I get the artbox if it's too limited.

Oh yeah, that too. That is a purdy art box.

(I'd moan about the lack of an OST, but iirc, isn't that available to buy separately in Japan?)

1) Season 2- seems to have been lost in the mix, so I am circling round to it as we speak to find out and get it sorted.

2) I'm not, not confident as it got a 15 for Season 1, that kind of show can go either way depending on who has it for review though...

Best,

Pretty sure AOL take PayPal as does Anime Ltd store

I meant that I usually use paypal for AOL, but that means paying on order instead of dispatch. I'd have to enter credit card details to pay on dispatch in order to be able to easily cancel if AL then announced an Early Bird price.

I've got my order locked down to £45 for Your Lie in April with Amazon (the jump to £55 scared me but I guess an art box will do that... glad I ordered early), so unless AL match that with an early bird deal I'll likely be keeping my order there (moving to AOL just seems like a bit too much hassle and I'm not fussed about paying straight away unless it's an early bird).

I'm a little disappointed that the artbook isn't until the second set because I'm really looking forward to seeing it! I like the idea of the art box though and what I've seen from the images makes me happy.

I'll be picking up The Case of Hana & Alice for sure, although I had a "wtf?" moment seeing near £33 for a movie :/ the hell is up with Amazon prices now days? Don't think Your Lie In April would be my jam but it is a nice box, and nice boxes are my jam so who knows....

Amazon are rarely the cheapest these days. I tend to stick with Base or Zavvi. If you can catch the 20% codes at music magpie it's worth taking a chance with them.

Yeah I'm the same, rarely buy games or blurays from Amazon now as I can always find em cheaper elsewhere, in fact I rarely use Amazon for anything now....

Is it possible Andrew for you to get the Artbox as it looks amazing

Even WE have no idea what's up there now - we just have to charge an SRP that doesn't lose money per unit. Amazon used to apply same as the rest of us - a 20-30% discount though. The algorithm is obviously watching over anime closer at the moment, maybe c/o Kabaneri's performance, who knows?

Either way, definitely will be cheaper places to buy!
