If we're talking about BLEACH, it's a Friday/Saturday release.
More broadly, cinema chains do insist on showing non-anime films too - rumour has it that some of them even generate higher attendances than anime, especially at weekends! Unthinkable I know, but this is the scurrilous chatter we hear.
It's not like there's anything else going on that's huge on the, say, 25th of June anyway.
