UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

I'm in the reverse boat - I'm wanting to know if Angel Dust will be getting a similar Steelbook release here in the US, or if I should just jump on the UK steel now and not wait to find out. Although, if the UK steelbook release is Region AB, I'd definitely just buy it now. Even though all my Blu-ray equipment is multi-region capable, it's still a bit more convenient to buy Region A capable releases if available.

Obviously I can't say this with 100% certainty when the disc isn't even out yet, but I think it's probably going to be the same disc. If you're releasing it in both territories, it's just cheaper and simpler to do it that way.

Word on the street is the Blu-ray is Region-B locked.

@Hanners just wanted to let you know I'm watching episode 22 of bleach TYBW and the subtitles are several seconds out of sync too early. I'm not to bothered personally as I watch the dub but thought I'd point it out.

Could just be my copy because I've not noticed anyone else here pointing this out, if anyone else has this problem with there's at episode 22 please say.

You're not the only one - I can also confirm that on my copy the subtitles are also out of sync by a good few seconds throughout episode 22. This makes it incredibly difficult/near impossible to follow when watching with Japanese audio.

Rather annoying for me as I'm a sub watcher. Good catch though.

Edit: to add, it appears that the subtitles do not relate to the episode at all. The first bits of dialogue in episode 22 are "Ishida..." a few times, but Ishida doesn't appear in the subtitles at all, so it looks like it's not merely a timing issue; it appears like they've used entirely the wrong set of subtitles for the episode.

Seriously? God damn it. I was excited to watch this set, and now I’m kind of bummed out. These quality control problems need to stop.

These things happen it is dissapointing it wasn’t caught in qc though I assume we will get disk replacements for it
We should get a disk replacement!

We should get a disk replacement!

This should be a pretty cut-and-dry case for a disc replacement. I'd argue the wrong subtitles on an episode would make this a faulty product as one episode is essentially unwatchable in Japanese (unless you understand the language, of course).

In the Discord channel, we have been told by @teetoni that this issue has been escalated with the team, so hopefully we'll hear something soon-ish.

Quick response from Anime Limited - an email has been sent out to customers regarding the subtitle issue with Bleach TYBW Part 2:

Replacement disc is automatically being sent out to those affected; corrected disc is expected to arrive April time.

Just had an email from BFI warning there will be no ads or trailers before the Gundam showing.

I'll be honest, I'm kinda glad because I'm still not sure why they showed us the trailer for Civil War at the SEED Freedom premiere...("Enjoy your movie now we've filled your head with the ticking time bomb that is the divide amongst the US population!")

Could be worse, Odeon showed trailers for Paw Patrol before Violet Evergarden, at least Civil War is age appropriate for the screening.
