Thanks for the heads up regarding replacement discs, have emailed them.![]()
If you haven't done so send an email to the shop address, the last few times I've used the contact form on the website I've gotten no response from them, not even the auto response stating they've received you inquiry.Still waiting on a reply 9 days later. Really not impressed.
I understand it would be busy during the Christmas sales, but we are half way through February now. It shouldn't be taking over a week to respond.

I had no idea this was a problem.. Would like an replacement as well then. Its a pity that there are so many mistakes being made. I love a lot of what I own from AL.@Hanners is there a fixed disc available for Kakegurui?
My CE seems to have the extras menu made invisible. You can’t argue that selecting the extras is a gamble as they’re always in the same place, so it’s simply annoying.

I looked this up after encountering the issue (ps3 and stand-alone - I’ll try on some other devices later), and there’s some discussion about it here:We've never had any reports of this issue that I'm aware of - this sounds more likely to be some kind of specific player incompatibility issue. As it's also a master provided to us by Sentai based off their US release, the disc contents and menus are the same as that edition.
Being late to the party (blame the height of the pile of shame), I had no idea if there was a fix - I was assuming / expecting based on this earlier multiple reports.I actually mentioned this when I first got the set back in the beginning of 2022. This was confirmed by other people soon after.
At that time, I believed that Sentai's release could have the same issue, as Anime Limited were using their discs, but thinking about it, I'm probably wrong about that, as the missing episode issue with the Nadia BDs didn't affect previous releases using Sentai's discs (including Sentai's own release).
That's a bit of a weird one, as I've checked on our fulfilment partner's back-end system and this has been shipped and is currently in customs clearance, it just hasn't synced into our system for you to see. I'll drop you the details in a DM.@Hanners
Any updates on when the Frieren: Beyond Journey's End BDs will ship?
Have an open order from Dec 1st (#160105) which includes Frieren... it was supposed to be released end of January but that's 3 weeks ago now.
I saw the note: "Crunchyroll titles are ordered on demand - please allow additional time for shipping while stock arrives with us"
But... how long is "additional time"? =)
Sentai had used, and may still use, an authoring software that does not meet the Blu-ray specifications. I guess the problem has lessened over the years as the product got updates, but it is still not perfect.I looked this up after encountering the issue (ps3 and stand-alone - I’ll try on some other devices later), and there’s some discussion about it here:

Contrary to common beliefs, players are very robust. In most cases it's a disc issue, either from an authoring error (human error) or an authoring software bug. Blu-ray systems must undergo draconian testing to be allowed on the market. This is why there are only two-three Blu-ray SoCs manufacturers!! It's that hard. We've never had any reports of this issue that I'm aware of - this sounds more likely to be some kind of specific player incompatibility issue. Should we be concerned this was apparently deleted, then reposted this morning?Hopefully Anime Limited are handling this in the UK & Ireland and not Bamco themselves considering their disastrous handling of Seed Freedom.
I know Anime Limited previously announced having theatrical rights in North America for City Hunter: Angel Dust, but do they also have the physical media rights too?The Italian and French sets are identical to the German one, same steelbook and disc.
It will be available in the UK too, soon!
