They must have something they want to announce if they are doing a video for it.
Absolutely fair to apply pessimism until you see it in action this year though - but I wanted to take this chance let folks know what we're doing to learn from the past .
Our e-commerce side of the business has grown so much now we've actually been in the process of transition from MVM for fulfilment to a larger solution as we love MVM and do not want them to die under the volume of our orders over the festive season especially (but in general too!)
We've completed the switchover now and shipping of new orders will go out via the new fulfilment house giving us sufficient time ahead to iron any kinks out of the system before we hit the all important festive season! The unexpected pro point of this to address concerns are that any preorders taken before The Promised Neverland will be fulfilled by MVM but the Christmas Sale will be handled by a scaled up solution.
So that means barring 5 Centimeters per Second and The Promised Neverland our EB stock will go out via MVM for those, but the extremely busy Christmas sale will go out via our new fulfilment house (who like a lot of operations like this are getting seasonal hands in to cover the busy period of Christmas!)So quick summary of points for the TL;DR:
While nothing ever runs perfectly (especially in 2020) - this does offer a significant improvement over the last two years. In a time where retail stores are sadly at best a ? on whether they will be open, online business is even more important and we are taking this really seriously come the Christmas sale, our busiest time of the year.
- Fulfilment on AlltheAnime: We've just switched over to a larger fulfilment house who also specialises in Collector's homevideo (companies like Second Sight Films use them for example). They will be managing all orders from the Promised Neverland EB onwards (inc regular orders).
- Christmas sale: Will be managed by our new fulfilment house - who are aware of our usual order volumes and will have staff on hand by default to handle the busy Christmas period (which is something we desperately needed to address before this Christmas sale).
- Homevideo specialists: We came to the conclusion of the new fulfilment house based on several criteria but the most important one is that they know and understand Collector's edition homevideo like I mentioned before, managing companies like Second Sight Films for example before.
- Previous EBs before The Promised Neverland: Will be fulfilled by MVM - meaning that everything but 5 Centimeters per Second and The Promised Neverland won't ship from the same place the Christmas sale does so there'll be no delays from stock receipt to dispatch on those.
We've got a few surprises for folks coming up on that note too so stay tuned!
Best,
Andrew
Considering the fulfilment house are the ones handling Second Sight i.e. the folks who are releasing a massive 4K Ultra HD box set of Dawn of the Dead, I think it's safe to assume packaging-wise it will be secure (otherwise they would have thousands of people rioting (safely with facemasks ofc)).do you who exactly the fulfilment house is? just a bit of concern from me but i've noticed in the last 12 months that Zoom, Entertainment Store, WB Shop, and some other business whose name escapes me have all switched to a new fulfillment company because of Sony DADC closure and have gone from general cardboard/jiffy bag packaging to plastic bags which offer as much protection to blu-ray cases and collector editions as a paper umbrella would in the rain
The folks who are releasing a massive 4K Ultra HD box set of Dawn of the Dead
Don't worry it's still available. And no one told me!?
It's still there. Go to Titles then scroll down and you find it.Am I the only one that liked and already miss the old Anime Limited homepage layout?
I think it's much harder to keep track on what will go OOP soon with the new homepage.
What I realy miss, is the OOP warning section from their old homepage.
I managed to buy some titles that were soon to be OOP this way from AL with the updates from that section.

Second Sight released a video showcasing how they intend to pack these and it looks pretty secure. I ordered a title direct from them recently and they package their sets well.Considering the fulfilment house are the ones handling Second Sight i.e. the folks who are releasing a massive 4K Ultra HD box set of Dawn of the Dead, I think it's safe to assume packaging-wise it will be secure (otherwise they would have thousands of people rioting (safely with facemasks ofc)).

Heres a quick link to it though:
Titles Nearly Out-of-Print - when they're gone, they're gone
This section is for titles that are specifically nearly Out-of-Print. This means that stock levels are either very low are are close to be completed sold out. Our Ltd Collector's Edition releases are all one-time print runs. So once they're are sold it's more than likely we not have any stock of...www.alltheanime.com
It still exists at the same location it always did.
We'll be further overhauling our site hierarchy in the future - the first step was getting the new design and front page in place so that we can start making things slicker elsewhere around the site.
I think my english comprehension skills may be failing me a little bit, wrt to anime_andrew's post about their new fullfillment arrangements and the 5 Centimeters per Second and The Promised Neverland releases;
Are these two releases the first to be handled by the new centre, followed by everthing else?
Or are they the last two releases handled by MVM and everything after that will be fullfilled by the new centre?
Or will only the early bird orders for these two be handled by MVM, but the regular orders after early bird expires will be handled by the new crowd?
I read the post multiple times and I think I'm getting more confused with each reading, not less
You would trust your international partnerDid they not check before shipping?
Also that AL stream was a fun watch, they announced a new EB every day and most of them look pretty good. That Erased set has me looking at my part sets in disgust though.
Thank god! I think they've over packed Q4 with Gundam as is. Hopefully they'll learn for 2021 to spread them out! One every 2 months or so? Not 6 in the space of 2 months! No Gundam Christmas announcements
Part 1 had terrible masters provided by the licensor, those masters were provided for all international releases.Thinking about it wasn't there a problem with their RE: Zero release? I recall a controversy which I assume might have been fixed?
