Animax - Bunch of Jokers

They (and the other companies who do the same thing) should at least have the information prominently displayed on their front page explaining that all news updates actually come via Facebook. My friends have been asking me what's going on with KlK all weekend too and if you happen to check the dead Twitter feed first you'd be forgiven for assuming the website has no form of active news feed whatsoever :(

Will remind them to add Twitter, it's a case of our social media person has been requesting it and it's not been fixed for a few reasons! Will get back to folk asap!

Thank you Andrew! If they can pop a Twitter or Facebook (doesn't matter which if they're both linked I guess) feed embedded somewhere on the main site when they have a chance it will make it seem much more alive over there in between episode releases ♡ though I'm guessing quite a few things need tidying as/when there is time.

Twitter is a lot easier for me to understand in my old age than Facebook :D

They said on Sunday it would be up today (Monday)

~Update~

Hi Everyone. Apologies for the lack of updates in relation to this weeks episodes. Due to there being a holiday in Japan, which we weren't aware would have a knock on effect for us, there have been some unexpected delays. Now that we have confirmation here is where things stand for each episode.

- Kill la Kill #23
This will be released tomorrow (Monday 24th March) on our website. Time is TBC at this time, but we will be sure to update accordingly.

- Samurai Flamenco #21
This will also be released tomorrow (Monday 24th March) on our website. Time is also TBC at this time but as with Kill la Kill, we'll be sure to update as appropriate.

- Space Dandy #12
We are happy to confirm that Space Dandy #12 is set to launch today (Sunday 23rd March) as planned. We will post an announcement once the episode is available.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused to you all.

Still no Samurai Flamenco (and no Kill la Kill) - Tuesday has fallen. Might as well just put the last 2 episodes on at once...

I saw Kill la Kill up there this morning (it wasn't there late last night). Is it not working?

R

Yeah that seems to be up now. Flamenco 21 is AWOL still.

Still no sign of Space Dandy 12's HD stream for the English version.

I accidentally pressed the play button on my PS3 BD remote instead of triangle and it worked. The << and >> buttons also now work like R1 and L1. The playback controls synched from my TV's remote work too.

Great! Now we just need them to be simulcasts (or at least scheduled on clearly specified days which aren't half a week after the US) and I might stop avoiding them like the plague :D

Thank heavens they listened to the feedback.

They generally do stick to the same day, although I agree that this isn't made particularly clear and isn't actually specified anywhere. The logic is probably something along the lines of 'if we don't set a public schedule then if we get delayed by something then we won't have missed our schedule because we don't have one'.

Mekakucity Actors was a day later last week than the week before, but that may have been triggered by the Easter weekend. Unfortunately there's another bank holiday weekend coming up...

Maybe I'm just looking at it with slightly rose-tinted glasses, though, because I see them as the replacement for the abomination that was Anime on Demand.

AoD did at least have a queue, and one that worked quite well (IIRC it was better than Crunchyroll's at one point, but quickly got eclipsed)

Anime on Demand were good when they first started. I had a beta login and watched Sekaiichi Hatsukoi 2 on there as I didn't have CR membership at that time so I could watch it when it aired.

I should get back to this at some point. It turned out to be more work than I had expected...

If it is anything like Anime on Demand, they use the subtitles supplied by Sentai / The Anime Network for a shows that are simulcast by them in the US (which I confirmed at the time by talking to people on the TAN forums). At least they aren't hilariously bad like To Love-Ru Darkness.
I had seen the TLR stuff before, but the chu2 stuff just shows such an infuriating lack of quick, basic research that it kills me.

Rather than continuing to take over the streaming topic, you may wish to update your table Rui. I emailed Animax and

A schedule is something we are also looking at...

Also:
We (referring to Rail Wars, Hamatora or both) unfortunately received this episodes from our distributors late, but these are now up on the service.
