AMECON 2008

final fantasy, naruto, bleach are all you see when your at a con it just gets a bit old. You need to intruduce new characters to the comunity :wink:
 
yea but these are the ones that get the most attension..now that shippuuden is taking off there will be characters that aren't usually cosplayed
..or you can come as something even from an unknown manga which stands out...what else was there this year...
death note,gravitation,one piece..okay that's all i remember cause most of my pic are naruto ones :?
but there was either one or two people who went as the kyuubi from naruto which were really good!
 
Cool its taken them forever to get the forum back up and running.

Just need to get my cosplays sorted, I have the Bleach captain one sorted I just need to come up with something else, either Kuma from Afro Samurai or I will try making one fora Final Fantasy costume.
 
just letcha know i set up a topic in the amecon websites part for any of us to talk on there just incase we are under different names (even tho i know mcicy is the same :p)

Definately a good idea for a meet up, I can't wait for Amecon, one of my best mates is going with me he mailed me from Malaysia yesterday to say he has just bought a Zeraki Kenpatchi cosplay to may my Shusui one so we will be hanging out as Bleach captains all weekend

Don't give up hope, last year managed to get in after only registering for a month before the con, and only hear about getting the week before.
As for a meet up, sounds good. But another idea, how bout we do a skit. Got an idea for one, just need some people to do it with.

Hey!!! I've got an email saying they have space for me now as well :) Needs to check on work if it's ok to miss friday, but I should be seeing you there then =D

Well done dude, when it gets closer to the time we need to arrange a Anime UK News meet up.

I am so excited at the moment, my latest cosplay is almost done so I will be all sorted for the big weekend
 
Come along to the Beez Entertainment panel on the Saturday afternoon if you guys have time then (I think it's 2-3pm in the Queen's Hall) ^^! You're guaranteed to enjoy it as there's going to be some interesting announcements :D.

Beez will be there as always anyway in the dealers room as well :)
 
meet you guys there =) first time going to a convention in the UK, I don't have the slightest idea of what I should expect from it. I was actually considering cosplaying, but the way things are right now, I guess the only fitting cosply would be as Chouji... =P
