I enjoyed this series, but it is very 'alternative' and by that I mean weird, not so much tricky to follow as sometimes downright impossible because it goes off on such a tangent at times. That said it is very original and has a wonderful atmosphere
Oh my, that's some piss poor quality on that stream right there, if that's how companies have decided to 'fight' (I'd say rival but that would be a real joke) fansubs.. they just lost
Nobody is saying you can't buy the dvds! Of course DVD will be higher quality and I myself have bought many shows on DVD after watching them on fansubs for that very reason
But that's the thing, fansubs aren't the threat companies like ADV make them out to be, they just don't like that...
Because you aren't Japanese?
Besides, companies such as ADV buy the rights to shows, they haven't created the shows, they simply buy up popular shows to make money, that is a fact.
Fansubbers do not, they sub shows because they, like me, enjoy anime
I'm not gonna say you are wrong given I don't understand all this negatve ratio/intended ratio business involved with film however given that it says disc 2 offers 'Original 4:3 version of the movie' and that it's being remastered into a 16:9 widescreen format, I am sceptical
Not as long as people hold the attitude I would rather take something for free than pay my way
True. It'll never stop completely and there will always be people like that. I'd just like to think if there was a reasonable alternative then people would go for it.
I been around on this planet...
The 20th kick to the balls is just as painful as the first
While I chuckle at your comment, I have to disagree, if delivered 'in a row' numbness would surely play a part!
what you said
I'm pretty sure he means that they'll just leave the bars on the top and bottom if it's already a widescreen program rather than broadcasting it as anamorphic
that's it, in a nutshell
I thought I explained myself quite clearly in my second post in this thread, I did however make the mistake of thinking others could read my post and understand it
[b]Answering a fan question on how ADV perceives the threat and challenge presented by fansubbers, Matt answered that while fan subtitling is hurting the industry both in the US and in Japan, “the industry has to learn and adapt to new technology, and has to find ways to work around it.â€
