    Anime at Londonderry

You may well be right--I honestly have no idea. I just remember being terribly occupied, that year, so I didn't have much opportunity to look into any events.

    Anime at Londonderry

I had to read the title a few times before I realised that--contrary to past scenarios--I could feasibly attend this.

    One Piece on TV... again.

Australia received a number of Skypiea episodes uncut--and aired them. I hope the same scenario occurs here--even if it happens by accident. Heck, we received the original Dragonball with all the blood left in, after all.

The UK Anime scene in 2010 - Your Opinions

Outside of One Piece being brought over to the UK by Manga Entertainment and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Blu-ray releases, the majority of what I'd ask for would probably be a tad too obscure.

Where Do all you Anime/MANGA fans live?

In the green fields of Northern Ireland, deep in the mists of County Down.

(Update) Manga Twitter, quite a few question answered

Thanks, Dave! I confess that I'm really struggling to avoid importing, too. Let's hope the One Piece community rallies enough to support to get this deal sealed.

(Update) Manga Twitter, quite a few question answered

I'm of the persuasion that something's been asked about it before, but has there been any word on Manga UK considering doing anything with One Piece? I haven't been keeping up with this--er--Twitter enterprise.

    Biggest anime disappointment(s)? (spoilers alert)

Pierrot wasn't all that bad, back in the day. Yu Yu Hakusho, for example, is able to impress with the strength of its animation; were it not for its strengths in this domain, I would argue it very difficult to appreciate the series, as it is--unashamedly, and by and large--a series of fights...

    Biggest anime disappointment(s)? (spoilers alert)

I've never been fond of how NARUTO's anime adaptation has been directed--as I've felt it to be protracted and largely quite dull stylistically when contrasted with something like Rurouni Kenshin, which would take liberties with the manga but strengthen its offering as a result--but I empathise...

    Naruto Vol.19

Just volumes 1-3--the rest have a regular grey colouring.

Rejoice Social outsiders, it's the Autumn series thread!

I'll watch Fairy Tail for the sake of finding out what the animation quality is like--given that I haven't enjoyed what I've read of the manga. I'll also be in it for the music--for it'll be interesting to see how it compares with Groove Adventure Rave.

    Upcoming UK Anime DVD Artwork!

I still remember chuckling at how the first few sets were erroneously spelled "Naruto: Unleased" on the spines, which brought with it all manner of unusual implications. I wonder if Shippuden will carry an additional subtitle, too--though I confess that I have my doubts.

    New Anime Newbie Needs Help!

Toradora! is a superb romance anime--one that I would recommend thoroughly.

    Anime in the UK

Here's a list I made out a few weeks back. Hopefully, it isn't already too drastically out of date. This is most of the anime I could find on UK Sky TV. Jetix Naruto - Jetix Dinosaur King - Jetix Pokemon: Diamond & Pearl - Jetix Cartoon Network Bakugan Battle Brawlers - Cartoon...

    RAGING BLAST!?!?

Wasn't Mr. Satan only in Ultimate Battle 22, rather than Final Bout? I can remember him being in the one with 2D sprites if you entered a certain code, which resulted in the game earning the title Ultimate Battle 27, so I'm assuming it was the former. I fear what he would have looked like in...

The good the bad and the ugly

When you look at just how well Hunter X Hunter's director executed the series, it almost feels like an injustice when NARUTO--which I would argue isn't as excellently pulled off--garners such acclaim in the dimension of adaptations of a manga. Though I do like the fact that Hunter X Hunter isn't...

    Question about uk naruto boxsets?

From the looks of things, dubtitles only truly afflict the season 2 sets--in which the Lee vs. Gaara fight occurs--though the subtitles supplied for the season 1 DVDs don't appear to be of the highest calibre. That said, the subtitles really do shape up for Season 3 and afterwards. It might...

Manga you wish were liscensed in the UK

Off topic a bit...but I would love to see the Rurouni Kenshin and Hikaru no Go kanzenban released over here.

FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST: The greatest story ever told. Re-told.

I disliked the film following my first viewing--but I thought it was a very potent means of illustrating the parallels between Amestris and our own world, and I thought, in this regard, it was successful.
