The Official "what good deed have you done today"

That's really interesting. I've always thought that we British don't really have a food culture, per se, since what we eat is mainly an amalgamation of stuff imported from other cultures. And I guess the less said about our weather, the better. I guess I shouldn't complain, though. Britain...

The Official "what good deed have you done today"

Haha, awesome. I bet the difference between Brazil and here is absolutely enormous. If you don't mind me asking, why did you decide to come here? God knows I wouldn't have chosen England if I wasn't English myself... Oh, and the German's for variety. Spice of life, an' all. :P

    Manga for Holidays!

Even if you've seen the anime, the manga counterparts of Mahoromatic: Automatic Maiden and Chobits are often touted as the better of the two. The former is good for a few fan service-flavoured laughs, the latter is romance with a sci-fi twist. I really, -really- second the recommendation for...

    your choice dvd or blu-ray

Well I know that much - but it's just the fact that it's there. Much like having to get around DRM if you actually want a choice of which MP3 player you upgrade to.

Another "possible" outside threat to Anime

Hahaha! That's wonderful. :p But, in all seriousness, it's just another layer of control that us British are going to have to endure. Time to leave the country, guys.

    your choice dvd or blu-ray

Haha! Yeah! Also, I really don't like the encryption they put on the Blu-Ray discs. It's just another layer of unnecessarily imposed control. :(

Name me some "so bad it's good" anime.

Tokyo Mew Mew. It's magical girl gone to hell and back, and most of the screen time is taken up with the same pointless transformation sequence elongated and replayed over and over again. However! After watching twenty or so of the fifty-two episodes, you can't help but keep going...

    What's Your opinion on chavs?

Personally, I just don't like the whole gang mentality thing they develop when there's more than, say, three of them. Alone, 'chavs' a rather harmless. It's just fairly intimidating when you have a gang of thirty, half donning bicycles, tailing you through the back streets of early evening...

    The Ultimate Fan Service show?

Here, here! I'm actually enjoying Kanokon. Fanservice is fanservice, and you have to leave your criticisms at the door. Judging an anime based on the merits of other genres is always going to leave you short. If you can just enjoy it for what it is, there's sometimes a good bit of...

    Spring 2008 Anime Preview Guide

Itazura na Kiss is another one to watch out for - good old fashioned shoujo romance at its best. Special A could also be mistaken for a sequel to Ouran High School Host Club, so if there are any fans, take a look. Is it bad that I'm really enjoying Kanokon?

Studio Ghibli's Joe Hisaishi special concert in Tokyo

This would be amazing to see. I love the Ghibli soundtracks and I greatly admire Hisaishi as an overall composer. I even have some of his non-classical music, which, as it so turns out, is rather 70s. :p
