Same story as everyone else really. General reduction in purchases overall made much easier by the declining quality of AL’s output. Shame really because AL is what got me into building a physical collectors edition collection years ago but as pointed out above, so many releases are barebones...

Almost seems worth it if you can pick the discs up in a sale/second-hand. Charging £40 extra for not being able to pick it up an expo is a bit steep. Especially when that French version comes in at like £115 shipped.

Thanks to whoever posted about the Look Back cinema release. Just seen it this afternoon and an absolutely beautiful film with a gorgeous soundtrack. Definitely helped knowing next to nothing about it going on. Also made the girl on the row in front of me cry bless her.

Whilst it's not cut and dry and this is a massive generalisation, I do think the biggest thing these days is consuming media vs owning physical. I just don't think a lot of the general public cares as much as we do. They can love a show and be perfectly happy to just watch it on Netflix...
