It's very good, maybe not masterpiece, but it has the touches of Kon's other work that give the characters such life. The best way I have to describe it is that you could re-shoot it live action and wouldn't have to change a frame - it stands up to any film, not just anime.

I've seen 3 or 4 and I love them. The general feeling it has, coupled with the gorgeous artwork... It's my favourite show coming out of Japan at the moment, just great lines, reactions. It reminds me a little of Azumanga, but feels less disjointed.

That's odd, they talk about a romance for the Major but there's nary a sniff of one up to episode 19 of the 2nd GIG...I suppose there are still 7 episodes to go though, anything could happen.

I think the Cat Returns was meant to come out in May, but I've since seen a little article in a Total Film forthcoming releases article saying it'll be out in cinemas in June? Also, you may have the four UK Ghiblis, but you should get Miyazaki's Castle of Cagliostro released here by Manga...

I never get that excited, partly because I have a backlog of DVDs to watch stretching back months, and partly because I've developed a lot of patience waiting for things like Cowboy Bebop to come out here.

Is the 3 part anime released by Manga the same? I was never sure if there were seperate OVAs and a series. The Manga Rayearth is currently in my long queue...
