ADV acquire The Place Promised...

Various news reports are suggesting that ADV's theatrical division have acquired the latest movie from acclaimed Voices of a Distant Star director Motoko Shinkai; The Place Promised in Our Early Days (Beyond the Clouds).

A UK DVD release via ADV UK should now be considered likely given previous trends between ADV and their UK division.

It's well worth watching, absolutely beautiful and a decent story. I'd say the visuals rival GITS : Innocence, they may not be as flashy but they are damn good.
