UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

Hi All,

I'm a long time lurker in the forums but have never actually joined. I however felt I had to join to point this out.

Based on everything mentioned above about Dangers In My Heart, I was curious about what exactly was rated by the BBFC.

Looking at the listing on bbfc for Dangers in My heart, it's a bit messy as we have streaming and physical combined.
Series 1 is listed as 12 and the only entries are for streaming.
Series 2 is listed as 15. We have a combination of listings for streaming and physical. The one episode listed as 15 has a description which is very obviously an episode from series 2 and has Anime Limited listed as the distributor.

The standard edition which I saw in the stores yesterday had a 15 rating.

This would suggest not only have the wrong episodes ended up on the Blu-Ray but also the wrong episodes were sent to the BBFC to rate.

Season 1 is 12 episodes, and Season 2 is 13 episodes + the OVA "Twi-Yaba" so it should be easy to tell if this is the case even without identifying the episode contents. That OVA is listed in the menu image above too.

I think your theory makes more sense than somehow using S2's titles on S1 episodes, especially assuming AL used Sentai's materials including menus, as they commonly do. Sentai's S2 is out in three days, so it seems quite feasible they sent AL the S2 materials instead of those for S1.

Edit: My theory is wrong so I marked it out to not lead to confusion but leaving it there for transparency.

Welp, my biggest order was shipped in 3 packages, and then I got a message from UPS that one of them misses information to import it. Great. Hope Hanners can help me out.

Gundam Hathaway 2 is out in Japan this week.

I really hope if we're getting it it's a priority release and we won't have to wait through the other recent Gundam movies America got months ago.

I'd see Urdr Hunt but it's also infamously strung together cutscenes from a failed phone game. I've been waiting half a decade for Hathaway and would love to see it before it can be spoilt.

I remember this issue from last year too. UPS thought it was a B2B package and needed the EORI and VAT number from my company, which I didn't have of course. Not sure how it was solved, I contacted both Hanners and UPS.

I think Netflix will be handling Hathaway 2 like they did with the first one so I don't expect any UK theatrical treatment, then again the JP home video sets should have English subtitles (like the first film did, especially its 4K version) which is handy if the UK/US doesn't sort itself. Knowing AL though, if they did get the rights to Hathaway they would end up using the Netflix translation over the JP home video translation which was considered superior.

They've been quite vocal it's getting a US cinema release and Hanners intentional vague posting makes it sound like it's on the table for us too. Netflix have pretty much withdrawn from Gundam at this point; they're no longer involved with the live action, have I believe pulled some of the classic stuff and I think their last involvement was Requiem For Vengeance. And with the very heavy push Bandai are giving this to make up for the COVID delays, I could see them wanting theatrical runs.

A big question would be did they sign a trilogy deal with Netflix or is it case by case.
