Last Exile is generally pretty good. Its one of those rare animes that actually looks different and the story is solid. The minus points are slightly muted ending and the time it takes for the plot to get going.

Well, I found the recent TV series to be quite sweet, and sometimes very funny. It was however also very slow, with at least half of the episodes being forgettable filler. This includes the last two episodes. I just wish Belldandy had more of a personality.

Yes, and its interesting that its a story largely absent from the manga. Vash is mortal is source material, after all, and Trigun Maximum pretty much rewrites the plot from episode 12 onwards. Please don't assume that I'm against them advancing the plot, but it wasn't especialy good...
