I hate it when blu-rays or games are shipped in bubble envelopes. It's very poor protection and has a high chance of damage.

Despite receiving today, 7-8 years late with this. Time flies when you're not having fun~
After mein birthing day celebrations - oddly enough, as opposed to on the day itself - I found meself more miserable than usual, like. Sooo, since going into debt is surely the solution, having recently re-watched Bebop with my kyoudaiiiii (and been displeased anew not to own the TV series + movie in one set), looked on eBay if one of my animanga OOP bucket list is on there. And, as luck would have it, a fella that got 2/1000 under the mistaken belief that UK anime fans spend monies to, like, buy anime was STILL trying to shift his brand new/sealed #2. Made him an offer he cannae refuse, and here we be. FYI: 'Tis bigger than Frieren's chest.
Given I could not bear the anguish/shame of posting multiple times like NormieGrav, in order to get around Rui's clever attempt at stiffling meeee with his/her 10 image limit, I edited images together--a form of photo alchemy, if you will. Been editing photos a lot recently, y'see... not that that's helped me put Toby's spirit to rest, but I digress: 10* photos.

:: I did not measure, as effort is against my religion... and 'tis too big to fit anywhere. Shocking revelation. Made a special place for it; using the inner cardboard as a stand. Waste not, want not~
:: An anime boxchest with more space than not is good for additional storage, I guess?... Terror Res mini-square finally has a home.
:: Despite the box being for vinyls afaik, the soundtrack is on CDs. Yay?
:: Disc drift. The spongy/squishy Eva UE disc holders... drift via gravity over time--glue holding them slides, pushing discs under sides.
:: The movie disc is just the one in the cheapo Manga release; not even new disc art. Kinda lame.
:: The art book does not have all the art, "ultimate" my asso. I NEED this!
:: Ed actually was just an average looking boy called Ed, until the last min. Okden.

Apparently it's identical to the prior release, just a re-release for Amazon specifically with a new barcode/whatever. No idea why. Think 'F' said Media Blasters hoped Amazon exclusivity would help people find it on there. Don't think it was a great success, besides with KissxSis/Ranka peoples that would've got it already.

There's also the July pre-orders from Terracotta that was delayed which includes titles from 88 Films, Arrow Video & Third Window, and another Limited Run Games pre-order on the way.

#1: Naruto Shippuden Set 2 (Volume 6)
We're starting off the month with a very quick order. Just before the early bird concluded I ordered it whilst I was at work and about an hour later they shipped it out, I guess not many people bought it. Anyway this is Naruto Shippuden Set 2 which is the collector's edition version of Volume 6, covering episodes 126-150 of the series. I don't yet own Volumes 2-5 because there's no limited edition variants for the sets so that means I don't need to rush out to grab them right away.
#2: Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls
The latest fighting game from Arc System Works is a Marvel property! Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls has caught my interest the moment it was announced and it's looking good so far. I've not started it yet because I'm currently playing through the inFAMOUS PlayStation 3 games but once that's done I'll be playing this next. Whilst many would have hoped for Capcom to produce another crossover, I'm open to see another Japan style Marvel fighting game which is what we have here, especially with the anime style designs of the roster.
Another reason I pre-ordered the game is because it was also part of The Game Collection's 3x reward points line-up which is their new version of the £10 reward scheme which means fewer points but still more than a regular offering.

#3: Once a Thief & Operation Scorpio
Next is a package from the Terracotta store, now this isn't the July pre-orders haul because one of the items (88 Films' Shawscope Triple Feature) is due a bit later in terms of stock. Instead we have two that were due for August and were already in stock ahead of their release.
From Arrow Video we have John Woo's 1991 film Once a Thief (縱橫四海) on 4K Ultra HD. This is the latest release from the Golden Princess deal which is presented in an o-card slipcase this time around compared to the previous John Woo films but still includes a booklet. The film stars Chow Yun-Fat (Hard Boiled), Leslie Cheung (Farewell My Concubine), Cherie Chung Cho-Hung (Peking Opera Blues), Paul Chu Kong (The Killer) and Kenneth Tsang (Police Story 3: Supercop).
From 88 Films we have David Lai Tai-Wai's 1992 film Operation Scorpio (蠍子戰士) on Blu-ray which is also known as The Scorpion King. This film I haven't heard of before but sounded intriguing and includes a teaser for Won Jin's Jump Senior (떴다! 어르신). The packaging is also back to their US slim black case style treatment but combined with a slipcase that uses a J-Ring format. #4: The Killer Extended Cut Replacement Disc
Here we have something that honestly I had lost hope considering how messy Arrow Video's customer service has been for various folks - the replacement disc for John Woo's The Killer Extended Cut (Disc 3).
For context, the original disc can be played but the functionality wouldn't work. In other words, you couldn't pause, couldn't rewind, couldn't stop the film etc. Like how on earth did that pass through quality control. Considering the disc was exclusive to the limited edition, I wanted to make sure I got the fixed version before it was too late.
I ordered the set from Terracotta and was able to get the details over to Arrow's customer service but they didn't tell me it was passed over to their list to sort out. Only discovered it was approved when I got an email from Arrow saying it had been dispatched this past week.

#5: The Boxer, The Double & The Hourglass Sanatorium
Next we have the July pre-order bundle from Radiance Films, only this time three of the four have arrived. Originally planned to appear last month, there were production delays on half of the items and while one of them arrived recently over at their headquarters, the other (Jean-Luc Godard's 'Histoire(s) du cinéma and other works') is still delayed so the distributor decided it was best to ship out what's already available and get the other out as soon as it's sorted.
From Japan, Shūji Terayama's 1977 film The Boxer (ボクサー) on Blu-ray. The film stars Bunta Sugawara (Battles Without Honor and Humanity), Kentarō Shimizu (Mermaid Legend), Masumi Harukawa (Tokyo Pop), Hiroko Isayama (Female Prisoner Scorpion: Jailhouse 41) and Juro Kara (Diary of a Shinjuku Thief).
From Italy, Romolo Guerrieri's 1971 film The Double (La controfigura) on Blu-ray. The film stars Ewa Aulin (Candy), Jean Sorel (Rosa la rose, fille publique), Lucia Bosè (The Legend of Blood Castle), Silvano Tranquilli (The Horrible Dr. Hichcock) and Sergio Doria (Death Smiles on a Murderer).
From Poland, Wojciech Has' 1973 film The Hourglass Sanatorium (Sanatorium pod Klepsydrą) on 4K Ultra HD & Blu-ray. The film stars Jan Nowicki (O-Bi, O-Ba: The End of Civilization), Tadeusz Kondrat (The Doll), Irena Orska (The Dancing Hawk), Filip Zylber (Coyote’s Morning) and Halina Kowalska (I Hate Mondays).

One of my two deliveries for this month (the other isn't arriving until near the end of the month) which sent me down a rabbit hole considering that I only paid £30.99 for it on Amazon (it's currently £32.99) while the digital download version off the playstation store is £39.99 (and to note everything, including the deluxe edition DLC is on the disc, there are no download codes in the box).
And the final discovery is that you can get it in Argos for £29.99, so if anyone wants to get this, that is the cheapest place (at least for the PS5 version) although you'd have to wait until Monday to collect it.

Been excited about this cause I thought finally I can experience a FF game in Japanese, given I've been complaining about the stupid language restriction on FFX remaster.. But my son played the Demo and loved it, so now he wants to play it together, therefore I have to use English.. ah well, it's a father & son moment, not gonna give that up!
p.s. No idea why I can't load an upright photo on here
