There are rumours going around that with Sakamoto Days ending in Shonen Jump it is going to be replaced with Bleach.

There was that Bleach anniversary one shot a few years ago that ended with a tagline along the lines of "Hell Arc begins" that then didn't go anywhere. Exciting if true for this long-time Bleach fan, I assumed if anything it might be an anime exclusive thing given how much Kubo's been involved with rewriting and directly helping with the Thousand Year Blood War anime.

So amazon can get everyone back for the evangelion rebuild dubs... but not for something like GitS? I'm so disappointed. Sure they'll probably be great, but nothing compared to the original voice actors. Especially gutted about Richard Epcar not coming back, he's brilliant.

There's other things to consider too (good and bad) but I admit to thinking this was likely given this is giving the goofy, comedic vibe at times of the original manga, Vs the different, much more serious tones of 95 & SAC. Because of that, I was unsure of Mary and Richard at this time would work (Crispin, sure). There's also the consideration of what the JP side is doing but the rumour is just a sole reprisal (at least of sorts, given it's Maaya Sakamoto), not that hasn't been ignored a bunch in various situations. Have been mixed on this sort in the past and it's easy to be cynical (pretty much like I am about a certain persona remake recently), but I will see with this. I had been working off this assumption since the trailers were showing the vibe from the manga more directly.
Regardless though, SAC isnt going anywhere, and I'm glad at least this likely won't be a disaster (unlike Fist of the North Star).

Doesn't surprise me at all. It was so big when I was growing up. There won't be a single person my age in Italy that won't know the words to the opening.
