UK Anime Christmas Sales for 2025 [Anime Ltd's 12 Days of Xmas + More]

Back when I placed my orders at the start of December, I semi-jokingly wondered if I would receive Lycoris Recoil from MVM before my All the Anime orders. We're now a month out from that release date and it's starting to look like a tight race.
AL have a little longer, Lycoris Recoil has been delayed by a couple of weeks.

I still haven't received my orders, is anyone else still waiting? I placed a big order on the 2nd of December, 3rd and 4th and a few bits here and there as the sale progressed. The items are showing in stock on the website so I'm not sure what on earth the delay is for?

I've tried being patient, and I don't want to cancel as I've waited so long already. What the hell is going on?

Got mine yesterday. Unfortunately, the only reply I got until that point was the standard "we are working on it".
That said, judging by the posts of the last couple of days, orders are still being shipped from early in the sale.
So, it probably will ship out, but no clue when.

I placed an order for a previous sale in September and I totally forgot about it - and only when checking in on the current sale I noticed it hadn't shipped. When I asked about it, they simply said oh its OOP - and proceeded to refund me. If I had not checked my orders it would've likely sat there and never have been addressed. I really worry in terms of the current items, though it does say on stock on their website so maybe they're printing them to go? Unsure, but at this point - if there are items in orders which aren't in stock, they should really ship what they have and then ship out the rest of the order at a later date, as I really think it's likely going to be March at this rate I'll get my orders.

To be £1k+ out of pocket for such a long period is wild. With that being said, alltheanime have previously been good, and I would rather support them than the likes of crunchyroll. I miss rightstuf days.

Too bad about that September order.
But lack of proper communication is even worse.
Still true, better than CR.

Reading through this forum has given me some peace of mind though as I'm not the only one it seems. As well as Hannes explaining how they are fulfilling complex orders (which mine are) - regardless. Will keep people posted. I appreciate the effort thus far but really at the same time want to see some orders move.

Also still got one order from the Christmas sale left I think from the 10th Dec (probably in the complicated pile).
I just had (2nd to last order) a BOGOF shipment arrvie yeasterday from I think the 10th Dec.

I was starting to think they might have done all of the day one orders though (but obviously not the case)

Pretty sure there are essentailly 2 dispatch ques of which they are compliactaed orders (large orders, multilpe of the same item, ect), but possible there is a super complicated pile.

NOTE: International orders I believe are also handled differntly (I think it was mentioned as just done by a seprate dispatch team, but didn't read too much into it)

So, as I see this kind of thing cropping up a lot in convo across the board at a time like this, here's how order fulfilment works:

The fulfilment warehouse is basically split into two "teams" - pickers and packers. The people picking orders take the correct stock from the shelves for an order, group it all together for that order, then hand it to the packing team who package and box it, seal and label the boxes then move on to where they're collected by couriers for shipment.

This is where the "do every shipment in the order they were placed" demand falls flat - if the picking team work on nothing but complicated orders for dozens of products, then picking each order takes much longer, which in turn means the packing team aren't receiving enough orders to pack and have stretches of time with nothing to do. This is, needless to say, inefficient, and would lead to far fewer orders being shipped out every day.

So, what happens is that the picking team are split between those who pick and handover those older, complex orders, while others focus on smaller, faster to pick orders, to ensure that the packing team are "fed" with orders to keep them constantly working rather than having to stop and wait for more orders to reach them.

This is further complicated by the benefits of optimising the picking teams based on location in the warehouse - it's easier to pick a whole load of orders that all contain "Schoolgirl Milky Crisis" (with apologies to Jonathan Clements) as the basis of their order as it's means less time moving around the warehouse space and more time feeding more orders to the packing team to ensure their work doesn't dry up.

It's a complicated and constantly adjusting dance. As an IT nerd (who used to write about this stuff for a living once upon a time), I think of it like a computer processor or GPU - the hardware has a scheduler that sits and ensures that instructions are sent to the processor (and its cores) in the most optimal way possible to maximise the execution of instructions, as if you just sent everything in order you'd end up with a lot of bottlenecks and reduced throughput, so instead you want to make sure that the processing bandwidth is "full" as much as possible.

Anyway, I realise this isn't something most of you even want to care about as you (quite rightly) just want what you paid for, but these are the kind of considerations at play in making that happen as swiftly as possible - if other people placed their order later than you but their order shipped first, it isn't us being unfair or picking favourites, it's just part of this process of optimising the throughput of the fulfilment team.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk (and if ever you want to doubt my nerd credentials, rest assured that yes I'm this nerdy about knowing everything about everything I deal with)...

That explanation makes sense on the surface, and I appreciate the transparency about how fulfilment works. My concern is more about how this plays out over time — if complex orders are consistently deprioritised and then run into stock issues later, customers with those orders end up waiting the longest despite ordering earlier. At a certain point (e.g., several months on), the optimisation logic seems like it could start working against fairness and expectations. Is there a safeguard in place to make sure older, more complex orders don’t effectively get pushed further and further back?

I have several December 2nd orders untouched.

My last order arrived today; yesterday was the second-to-last. I was a little worried because the package looked like it had fallen out of the courier's van and been thrown back in, but inside, the items from my order looked perfect. So, after a long wait, everything arrived.

Congrats man. wish I could say the same for myself. some orders I've placed aren't necessarily complicated either, sometimes just 1 or 2 of an item in an order. Still no dice. I like to think of myself as a patient guy but the stress of being in limbo is beginning to eat into me a bit.

This very frustrating, first time I order from AllTheAnime UK, wanted to take advantage of a relative's trip to UK next week. I was pretty certain it would arrive before the 17th as I placed the order on Feb 4th, I had no idea they are still dealing with the holiday's sales shipping backlog...

I have tried contacting them multiple times through email/web form but not a single response...

At this point I just want to cancel my order.

Unfortunalty the banner warning at the top of the AllTheAnime home page isn't as obvious as it could/should be, it very easy to miss, and then links into blog post which is pretty old says "10th of December" which may then lead to further confusion of I would assume 2 months old and the though of "they must have forgotten to take it down".

Unfortunatly they don't work the weekends, so you might not hear back until at best the Monday, but not sure when you sent off these messages.

If you've tried the contact form (I think you are surposed to get an automated response/receipt of message if it worked) then try email. But sounds like you've done both of those already.

I can only really think to suggest trying a differnt email, its possible its going into an email filter (personally I would just copy previous message and add a NOTE along the line of possible duplicate message so trying a differnt email and used this email (insert previous email used) for previous message, but not sure messages getting through).
Also if you have emailed them check your Junk/spam folder just incase your email is sending it to spam. (It sound like your essentially an international user, so foriegn emails may get flagged easier)

But I haven't personally contacted them recently/ during the christmas and extended period so I do not know there response time. Other user might have a better idea of what the average email response time is though.

I really hope they fulfill the order before we hit 3 months...

I'm still waiting on a large order from December 4th. One of the titles I ordered was in stock until a week or two ago, either that title being out of stock is blocking shipment or it's just plain incompetence as we're approaching 3 months now.

I did also order both film mystery boxes, maybe one of those is the problem. 🤷‍♂️
