UK Anime Christmas Sales for 2025 [Anime Ltd's 12 Days of Xmas + More]

Yes. IOSS should be a must. Even small shops are offering this nowadays which leads me to believe that AtA just doesn't care about orders from the EU.
I think it's the only shop left where I regularly shop that hasn't implemented it (just a hint: I would buy way more during the year if IOSS would be implemented; but as it stands it just warrants buying during the Christmas sale when the prices are low enough to set off those unnecessary extra charges).
But who knows. Maybe the percentage of EU buyers is so low, that the necessary investment to implement IOSS is not worth it for them.

Also still in the running for last order shipped here as mine still hasn't.
MVM doesn't have it either. Would like it if they did. Don't know how hard it would be to implement though.
That said, which shops do you use (besides Amazon) that have IOSS. Anime related is nice, but other shops are welcome too.

Zavvi and Rarewaves are both in IOSS, Deepdiscount and wowhd are also in it for US imports.
Second all of those. I haven't used Zavvi in a while. But Rarewaves and WOWHD are great for imports.
Also of course Amazon Japan if you need something from there (as the Yen is quite low vs. EUR).
Otherwise I often buy from more boutique vendors for videogames (NISA who have implemented a EU warehouse a few years back and Super Rare Games who have IOSS).
For other game imports I mostly use Videogamesplus (Canada) or Play-Asia. Both have IOSS (VGP even has free shipping when you order over 75 Canadian Dollar).

My last order has also shipped!

Today I pay for UPS 18 Euro VAT + 19 Euro UPS service. It's ridiculous. That's why I only buy from All the ANime what I think will sell out very quickly after the release (for example Perfect Blue UHD) or during big sales, because the prices there are very good and I still save money (even if these services are very expensive).

for me I got a 3 hour slot when the local can went out at 9:30, and 5 stops before a new link to a ‘live’ map that was pretty accurate
Ah good, so potentially I will get a 3 hour slot in the morning so I can pass it over to a member of the family who can housesit as I'm away at the moment

To be fair: Alltheanime removes UK VAT from your order first - so you don't "double pay" VAT.
Still the handling fees by UPS are way too high & they are on top of the shipping fees. IOSS could solve this...

Yeah, most are not against paying a small fee for those vat charges, but those fees keep rising, and make it a much larger part of the total cost of things, without free shipping, which could offset those costs a bit, it can increase each time unless something like IOSS is introduced.

Thank you. Have used Zavvi a lot. Rarewaves through Amazon, the other two never used. Might try them.

VGP, haven't used them in ages. Used them in the PS3 days. Good times. Play-asia got me some great Switch games.

Given that I am still waiting on my 11th Dec order, I sent an email asking if there is an update on when it would be shipped by given their last email update on the 26th Jan said that they expected everything shipped by the 6th Feb.

The automated email received email contained the following:
CHRISTMAS SALE UPDATE 06/02/2026: While we've made significant process with order shipments and most orders have now shipped, we're still working through the remaining outstanding orders in our system. Hundreds of orders continue to ship out every day, and the fulfilment team continues to deploy extra staff to ship as many orders as they can as fast as they can. Please accept our continued and profuse apologies if your order is still delayed, but please rest assured that your order is still being processed and shipped as soon as we can.

It is annoying that this message was only in the automated email received email and is not something they are sending out to everyone with an outstanding order like the 26th Jan email.

Just to join in, the one order I made in the sale has now finally been dispatched - I think I made it on the last day as I kept holding off to see if any of the flash deals grabbed me (they didn't).

Still - happy with the stuff I did get. The delay does seem a little ridiculous though.
For comparison I made some vinegar syndrome orders during their January subscriber week sale. It was clearly communicated that orders wouldn't start shipping until a certain date, and then made clear that any subscribers orders would take priority. As I'm not a subscriber I knew that meant there would be a bit of a wait before my stuff was dispatched. Even then, they combined my multiple orders, including random bits and bobs I'd redeemed reward points on, into one parcel, and it arrived a couple of weeks ago. Despite the advertised delays in shipping, combining different orders, and coming all the way from America, the stuff ordered mid January still arrived weeks before the stuff ordered mid December.
I appreciate there's probably a difference in scale between the companies, but I presume that also would apply to orders received.

Maybe it's just a Christmas thing - I do remember making an anime limited order in a previous easter sale one afternoon and being genuinely confused when it actually arrived the next morning!

Regardless, I'd be lying if I would have watched anything from the Christmas sale if it had actually arrived any sooner, so in a way it hasn't made a difference. I do look forward to (hypothetically) watching my new arrivals in the future!

Got my haul today.
After all the complaining, let's start the praising.

Great packaging, as usual.
Love the mystery bundles, great stuff.
UPS got it to me fast and on time.

Unfortunately for me, the boxes had a big overlap with the BOGOF selection I made.
But hey, upgrades, am I right? Got a few nice collector's editions now.

So, next Year, eh this year, I might just stick to either the boxes or the BOGOF.

Note, did not post pics of the anime because I don't want to spoil the mystery boxes content. Feel free to Google or DM me if you really want to know.

my second package arrived there today, DHL expressly slow at processing a package.
Can't fault their driver on the final leg, followed the wee leave in safe place request to a T much appreciated.

As usual the packing was excellent from AL fulfilment partner just AL and lime wood just need to work on a better fulfilment process to mitigate the choke points that cause 2+month delays.
