UK Anime Christmas Sales for 2025 [Anime Ltd's 12 Days of Xmas + More]

It is reassuring that there are still plenty of other people also still waiting.

I am waiting on an order from the 11th Dec which was all 5 mystery boxes and an additional 4 CEs.

I had made 4 orders, and this is the last one I am wait for. Two of the ones I received were small, one or two pieces and the other large one was BOGOFs, these three I had received by early January.

Guess their warehouse being overwhelmed is just proof that there is still ample demand for physical media.

Second order of 6 items placed in the morning of the second day of the sale still not shifted

EDIT: was walking the dog meant to quote in original reply.

I'm still waiting too. 2 months for a delivery is wild.

I just wish things were communicated better. I had 2 orders placed, both focused on the clearance section.

Maybe some things I ordered went out of stock and they didn't realise but I imagine by this point they're not fulfilling orders by when they were placed (considering I received an order my wife placed after me for a Christmas present the other week).

I just hope when they finally get to the orders of people that haven't been shipped yet they still have the stock. Because if they're fulfilling later placed orders and giving them priority of items that'd be frustrating.

This whole thing highlights there is 0 reason to actually rush next time there is a sale on though if this is the speed of delivery. 😅

My inner customer services agent senses tell me that we should expect an email update this week to explain the situation and what the store is doing to resolve outstanding orders - I.E. providing a revised ETA, rebuild assurances with customers.

Could be, but that is hard to do if you missed two deadlines and (some) orders are two months late.
This isn't helping the trust situation. I'm honestly wondering if they want me to cancel the order so they don't have to come out and say they ran out of stock/mystery boxes. Even though I ordered super early in the sale.

I'm also still waiting for my order (which was placed quite late on the last or second to last day of the sale). Includes the 2 TV Mystery Boxes and 5 other items. Waiting two months for an order to ship is honestly quite abysmal (and the communication could be better as well with only having one customer mail going out so far).

I have been part of these sales since 2019 but it has never been this bad for me (most of the time the orders arrived in December; I think only during the Brexit year 1 delivery slipped to January).
Hope there will be some lessons learned regarding future Christmas sales as a normal company shouldn't have a shipping backlog of over 2 months.

They used to pre-assemble mystery boxes ready to go, but I assume they don't do that anymore (but I assume they at least place them all near each other in the warehouse) but all mystery box sale items are more or less full price/not on sale, which is why we usually have an idea of what will be in the mystery bundles before they get revealed.
But they do appear to have a pretty accurate stock counter and as such they shouldn't manage to over sell items that would be in things like mystery bundles (but of course I don't work there so I could be wrong).

Also slightly curious regarding the mystery boxes as they were a complete mystery this year as to whether they were purchased or not with the factor of it being an actual mystery. I would assume sales on mystery boxes would be down/less as people didn't want to risk it (but also, they must have a bunch of customers who don't browse forums for info too)

I'm also still waiting on packages from the 10th (but I supect there in the complicated pile)

The only time it was as bad for me was when RM bunged a load of international orders in a corner of their depot and held them for over a month before then returning them to AL. My stuff didn't arrive until March.

This is when they could do something positive with the remaining orders if one/two items are currently out of stock and ship out the stuff which is in stock, putting the out-of-stock item on back-order to be shipped out once more arrive. Even if it costs them more money in shipment fees.

Still waiting for a largish order from the 2nd December here. All BOGOF other than Promare.

My items seem to be in stock (haven't checked the mystery box items though).
However as an international customer I wouldn't want any split shipments as it would cost me even more money as they don't do any pre-paid VAT and every express shipper (be it UPS or FedEx or whomever they use currently) charges for paying the VAT on my behalf. Split order would mean I would have to pay this charge multiple times. Then I would rather cancel the complete order.

If they are the TV boxes, you're in for fun,

Can you explain? That would suggest that some/many of those are out of stock.
And yes I had only the TV mystery boxes.
However I would imagine as long as they allowed orders for the boxes that they would have had enough stock to fulfill all of those orders (even if they might not be pre-packed anymore as they seem to have been in the past).

There is a mystery behind one of the titles that was initially in one of the boxes, it is no longer listed on the site, not just out of stock, deleted, this includes all sequel seasons also, nobody has made any explanation about this, even though I have asked.

If this means that the titles are no longer possible to be delivered, it would be on Alltheanime to tell us this and or offer a replacement and not sit on their hands.

Never ordered any mystery box items in any order, last order of 6 items are all in stock one items has one left on the site and 2 for another the reaming 4 have multiple amounts in stock according to that add it to the basket trick at least. Mostly something like your order as well

I mean delays can happen, I get that. I worked in distribution for years but this getting to the point where it's more incompetence than anything else at this stage.

Am seriously considering if I'll ever bother to order anything of AL ever again. if that's their goal, they've probably succeeded in my case anyway.

My TV mystery boxes were dispatched this Thursday and contained exactly the same items as those delivered in December.

They’ve been completely upfront with their logistics issues (if not completely timely) and whether that’s an issue for you is entirely fair but anything else is just people looking for problems where there are none.

Tbf I think in this issue they should address it being deleted from the store as it's certainly going to lead people to get the wrong idea about whether or not it'll actually be in the box. It'll spoil the mystery sure but that's better than not addressing it at all.

Don't get me wrong. I do appreciate that they are upfront with their problems and give ETA's, but they missed them twice so far., That and being two months late is pushing it a bit.
Also, it appears they don't respond to mails on the subject, doesn't really help.
I would like them to respond to emails and just say: yeah, the boxes are coming this month, and make good on that.

Having problems is fine, being open about them too, solving them in a timely manner would be even better.
I really do hope this won't happen again.
For me, if this is the only time this happens: great, no problem.
If this is the start of a trend.....well that's less great.

If contacting AL make sure to reply to your original order email or send a mail to shop.uk@alltheanime.com. Don't use the contact form as half the time it doesn't work, if you don't receive an automated message within a few minutes of sending correspondence via the contact form on the website they have not received it.
