UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

Want to drop me a message with these so I can take a look? While Perfect Blue is an issue in terms of stock that we're trying to claw back from elsewhere, those other items should have been shipped by now so I want to check up on these and see what's going on there.
I hope the issue with Perfect Blue is resolved soon as I have it ordered with you for about €54(when Unlimited discount is applied inc Irish vat, plus another €5.95 or €6.95 for customs clearance depending on if it arrives before the end of the month) and it will cost me €80+ to source a copy elsewhere.

Not the case at all - InuYasha is a complicated project because a. There aren't lots of materials available (and we often have to chase down more, plus we've been commissioning our own articles to provide more context and discussion of the series), and b. We're authoring each release ourselves to provide the best video quality that we can, which is a particularly painstaking task on this one.

Ultimately we're as keen to get these moving again as anyone. There was a hold-up in terms of licensing and acquiring the rest of the rest of the series, but that's now done and dusted so it's just about us making all of the required work to get these moving.
Thank you for the update. I appreciate it may be too early to tell internally but is there at least a possibility we might have another set or two out this year for InuYasha?

Thankfully Diebuster and Cyberpunk dispatched today. But looks unlikely that i'll get the Perfect Blue CE i've paid for, and now my only source is to potentially pay hundreds on Ebay if I want it, despite the fact I pre-ordered it as the pre-orders went live. Just so so disappointing man. :(

So I received the standard edition of the danger in my heart, and have just got round to playing it. And the episode titles are for season 2
How does this keep happening? I'm genuinely not trying to be a dick here but it's been happening for years. Premium priced product that continuously ships with errors.

Maybe AL should put that Toho money to hiring more staff because it seems everyone is managing too many projects to ensure products don't ship without errors.

It threw me off when the menu 1st popped up, I thought have I put the wrong disk in. Or does the series just do something funny and start on episode "13" so I looked on Wikipedia, only to see nope it's just the season 2 episode titles. I haven't tried disk 2 yet, so not sure if the issue repeats

Oh boy. Is it just the titles or is the disc a port of the season 2 US release?
That's my last Christmas order possibly delayed even more, if the CE is also affected.

And it’s not just anime releases - boutique film releases have also suffered from missing subtitles, absent audio tracks, and other errors.

Ultimately, these products are quality-checked by humans, so some Blu-ray releases will inevitably ship with mistakes. That said, quality-control protocols should aim to keep such cases as rare as possible.

Additionally, the severity of some of these recent errors is concerning (not just talking about Anime Limited here). It’s relatively easy to forgive a missing subtitle or a minor typo, but a Blu-ray menu displaying episode titles from an entirely different season is simply ludicrous.

Hi All,

I'm a long time lurker in the forums but have never actually joined. I however felt I had to join to point this out.

Based on everything mentioned above about Dangers In My Heart, I was curious about what exactly was rated by the BBFC.

Looking at the listing on bbfc for Dangers in My heart, it's a bit messy as we have streaming and physical combined.
Series 1 is listed as 12 and the only entries are for streaming.
Series 2 is listed as 15. We have a combination of listings for streaming and physical. The one episode listed as 15 has a description which is very obviously an episode from series 2 and has Anime Limited listed as the distributor.

The standard edition which I saw in the stores yesterday had a 15 rating.

This would suggest not only have the wrong episodes ended up on the Blu-Ray but also the wrong episodes were sent to the BBFC to rate.

So it appears it actually is the correct episodes on the disc. But the question of what exactly was sent to BBFC is still there.

If this is true, then this is perhaps the greatest disc error of all time 😂
