UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

Well. Tower of God UE is out of stock, so thats my wallet saved this time unless Macross goes up

Was waiting to see if a half decent flash sale went up to get free shipping. Unfortunatly not

Bleach Thousand Year Blood War Part 2 arrived today with no replacement disc for that subtitle issue that was mentioned, reckon I'll need to contact them about it or will they have sorted that by now?

Afaik all stock that hadn't been sent out has the replacement disc in the box.
Yeah my copy arrived with v22.22 on the disc text inside the set, and when I checked episode 22 the subtitles were accurate. So it's safe to assume they delayed the stock to have the correct disc inside the set than separately (otherwise my copy would have arrived weeks ago with Slam Dunk).

Maybe christmas sale will be back on, abit bad that those

Wasnt listed what is in this box on the christmas sales page :(

Any idea what is was lol

Don't know if anyone from the ATA website stalks this thread nowadays, but:

Users can get to this page by clicking Products > Deal of the Week. As you can see, it doesn't list anything. This may or may not be intentional - but the wording on the page seems to blame the user for the lack of offering. "No products found. Use fewer filters or remove all".

Might be worth changing the wording to something like "No offers this week, but please check again in the future". Or, remove the page from the menu entirely if this is a legacy thing. Just a suggestion, take it or leave it.

I'll pass this feedback on! Thanks 🙌

Yet they dont have a link for Merch on their banner what has products in

Messaged on twitter asking if they were going to add the link but got ghosted 😹😹😹

If we’re doing suggestions then to counterbalance the postage changes (not a moan, obviously the prices have increased and you have to factor for it) but maybe adding a line of merch (items that are £5-£6) for when we are just below free postage threshold.

Instead of getting ‘nothing’ for postage we get a fun trinket and ideally the profit from the trinket makes it slightly cost beneficial for ATA.

Make some new ATA mascots (maybe 5 like SLA) and over a year if you make 5 orders you can add a 2025 coaster or pin to your order and get the full set.

This is a good idea.

Any remaining merchandise will likely be disappearing from the store soon anyway - it isn't part of our regular product offerings at this time, it's just odds and ends of leftover stock from previous promotions and opportunities, so there's no value in giving it a prominent place.

We have talked a few times about mascot-based items, but the economies of scale don't particularly work if you're looking to do something high quality.

Also, with my boring logistics hat on, every item you add to an order has a shipping cost associated with it beyond just our postage cost - having a person take items from a warehouse, put them into a box, secure it all and put the correct shipping label on it isn't free (nor should it be - we're very much proponents of paying people properly for the work that they do!), so for a small or cheap item that cost is outsized compared to a larger product, which also then has a knock-on cost impact. Ultimately, giving you guys "lifehacks" to get free shipping would have a knock-on effect of then making shipping costs more expensive again overall, and so the cycle would continue.
