UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

I'm kind of betting Momotaro will be inside... is what I though until someone pointed out, it would need 900 copies of it. (Which I'd think is kind of insane of a print number for a title like this one.)
If it is the Funi stuff as per theory, Hyouka is probably not in there. P1 at least should probably definitely be out of the question, since that was soon OOP even before the mass disappearance.
Instead I'd bet that Shomin Sample is probably in there then. That was one of the last Funi titles out there, and got some troubled release afair? (And I'd not be interested in it, too much, I found it rather bad.)

(Would have taken that MCM Mystery Bag, if the con would be anywhere close by.)

So no Turn A. Great. 3 years and counting lads.

I was half way through watching Turn A, when the UK release was announced, I decided to put the show on hold and continue when I got the blu-ray.

Needless to say that was a huge mistake.

Yuichiro Hayashi is an interesting fellow. Probably one of the softest spoken guests AL has invited to the convention. Usually when I do interviews I get to have a bit of banter and a joke but, as was said at the panel, Hayashi seems to reserve his energy for his work.

Speaking of the panel, shame photos were prohibited. It focused on said work and how he revised storyboards and changed things from the manga. It was a very effective showcase of his skill.

i wonder wih AL doing the FLCL soundtrack on vinyl does it mean anything for Alternative and Progressive getting blu-ray releases here?

Them getting license to release a music soundtrack doesn't mean they'll license home video.

Bit like when they sold the AoT soundtrack while they werent the people who held the home video license.

I think Turn A is just sitting in a bin somewhere in a long-forgotten corner of AL HQ.

Haruhi S1 is in the same bin.
Haruhi they did mention last year in the Q&A saying they dunno if it’s broadcast order yet as it’s gonna be their own master. Turn a yeah is kinda dead maybe France don’t want it who knows
