Kotoura-san 6-12

This was a little gem. Some parts of it were rather rushed, and I'm not sure the genre shift in eps 9-11 was 100% successful. However it was still a good watch with that central relationship between Kotoura and Manabe as the heart of the series.

Sword Art Online II - Episodes 23 & 24 (END)
Grisaia no Kajitsu - Episodes 6 - 9
Nanatsu no Taizai - Episodes 8 - 12
Valvrave - Episodes 5 & 6

I'm happy to see lots of people commenting about and enjoying Garden of Sinners. I honestly thought it was going to be another one of those scenarios where most UK fans would shaft it for being "too expensive" or for not having a dub.
It's a massive shame it's DVD only considering the BDs look pretty damn great (I don't regret importing at all), but I'm happy it's available here at last so more people, especially those who only watch shows on Home Video, can enjoy it.

Still probably better looking than the crappy streaming site I watched it on. I will always have a depp connection to those films. It's funny because I'm watching it in the same way I did the first time (1 on one day, 2,3 and now 4 on the next). I just hope that I'm not interrupted half way through 5 this time.

I don't mind it being softer, it's the banding. I thought I would leave that behind when I started with physical media but no. =(
Haha. If that's the reason you started buying physical media then I'm sorry to disappoint you. Most of the time the official overseas BDs look worse than something a sub group has encoded from the JP BD, despite having much more space to work with. As for why this is the case, I'm assuming it's a mix of the Japanese providing degraded materials to start with and/or a lack of knowledge in encoding something properly at either or both ends. The only exception really is AniplexUSA, since they use whoever the parent company used to author their discs (Usually QTec or IMAGICA), and add the Eng Dub/Sub track to the JP master.

I suppose you also have to go in expecting DVDs to look pretty naff considering how much they've been compressed to fit on a 7gb disc. To give you an idea, Paradox Spiral (Movie 5) takes up something like 42gb on the BD.

Yeah I know. Torrents don't really work for me with higher file sizes though. I will get the blu rays one day. It's not the sole reason just one of them. At least I can get my friends to watch it now. Thing is that I can justify £60 but I can't justify £175.

"I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying" 1-13

Half of my time watching this series was spent laughing; the other being jealous. Bring on season two!

High school DxD 1-12
Really enjoyed season 2, can't wait for season 3, also glad that Azazel will be sticking around

Psycho-Pass 2 episodes 8, 9, 10 and 11. (finished)
What did you think? I thought it was terrible myself.

Didn't think it was terrible but it wasn't as good as the first series. Because it was only 11 episodes, the last few episodes felt a bit rushed to try and get everything explained and wrapped up.

Patema Inverted (Blu-ray)

Finally watched my kickstarter disc today, the film has a great concept and is well executed and I really enjoyed it.
