Please tell me that the original light novel was better? Because I found myself not giving a damn about these episodes. Not a single one. Melodrama central. EVEN HER HOUSE WAS DYING. WHAT THE HECK?!.

Eh. I get that this is an adaptation of an ongoing light novel series, but this final episode felt really deflated.

I was reviewing the episode weekly until the last two episodes, when the site I was doing it for dropped reviews. To be honest, I found that even the Gun Gale Online arc left a bad taste in my mouth, because of the absolutely ridiculous way it ended and how convoluted the whole Death Gun thing was.

Clearly, the problem is that Reki Kawahara can think of absolutely brilliant ideas, but doesn't have the talent to implement them effectively.

I'm rewatching with the English dub this time. Izumi Kitta delivered quite possibly the finest performance of 2013 as Tomoko, so Monica Rial has tough shoes to fill. So far she's pretty good! I'll need to watch some more though.

The series itself is still outstanding.

Why so? The next one introduces the main characters more if the lack or character development was a problem. The atmosphere is probably at it's best in the 1st one in some ways. If you don't like the series then you can wait a few months, wait for the stock to run out then sell it for at least the price it cost you.

I know what you mean about SAO II, Joshawott. Normally I'm one to cry at anything even remotely sad. Yet at the end I was sad...but not as sad as I should have been. By my standards I should have been in tears. I think we just didn't have enough time to get to know Yuuki for it to have the full emotional impact? I did really enjoy GGO however.

The original soundtrack is now available. Despite the mixed reception I'll pick up the OST sometime.

And there's the drop. That's pretty much exactly where I stopped reading the manga.

It wasn't the only reason, but back then, I was put out that they'd killed off Kana, as I felt she was a more interesting heron than Murano, who frankly I thought was a complete non-entity. It still seems odd that they'd establish her as having such a potentially useful skill, then get rid of her immediately afterwards, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt this time.

Your Lie in April Episode 11 - Going to be looking into the OST for this show. Heard at least 3 songs that caught my interest in this episode alone.

Yuki Yuna is a Hero Episode 11 - One of my favourites of the season. I was crying during this one and thinking 'No more!', it was just that good. Or I may be very emotional...either way I can't wait to see the last episode. I have faith it will end well.
