Shingeki no Bahamut ep1-2

I did not foresee that an anime based on a card battling game would be the first I cared to type about in months. This show is hilarious and touching and it's animated with the kind of flare not often seen in TV anime. It channels the spirit of Samurai Champloo and, if it maintains the same level of quality throughout, it may end up being the best show since Samurai Champloo. This should be massive.

Parasyte ep3

In a way, I wish I didn't remember the original manga, as I think I preferred the main character as an average Joe, rather than the nebbishy iteration we've got for the anime. On the whole, I still feel they've made a reasonable stab at updating the series, but at the same time, I feel what new scenes they've added in stick out like a sore thumb, if you're familiar with the source material.

Parasyte (Japanese Dub) - Episode 3
Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet (English Dub) - Episodes 08-13 (Complete)

Watching Gargantia, Episode 9 was the most disturbing thing I have ever witnessed, my mind is half full of Urobuchiwreck.
Watching Gargantia, Episode 12 made it even worse, my mind is full of Urobuchiwreck.

Overall, the show was really good. Got the OVA episodes to watch next.

Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet Specials (English Dub) - OVA Episodes 01-02 (Complete)
Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet Petit [Puchitto] (Japanese Dub) - ONA Episodes 01-13 (Complete)
Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet Petit Special [Puchitto Special] (Japanese Dub) - ONA Episode 01 (Complete)

These Petit specials are surprisingly good, very well done for a 1 minute special. The OVAs were okay.

Your Lie in April episode 2.

I went into this with snark mode engaged after the upskirt malarky in the first episode, but this was really good and there was nothing for me to pick fault with. Looking forward to the next instalment!

Edit to avoid double posting.

Penguindrum episode 1. Finally getting around to watching the much-maligned Kaze DVD release of this show. Picture quality is a huge jolt after watching nothing but blu-rays and HD streams for the past few months.

The show itself has an interesting premise, although the amount of flesh on display from Himari is a bit disturbing.
