Passage of Time: Tokyo Station.
Rail Wars! ep 3.
Yamishibai s2 ep 1.

TODAY
Akame ga Kill ep 3. So far so shounen.
Beyond the Boundary OVA. Turns out it was pointless for me to watch this, I remember almost nothing about the series and had little idea what was going on.

Can somebody please explain why they everyone didn't like the weird emo kid? Also, what was that emo kid going on about?
They are a small, tight-knit group with a lot of yet-to-be-addressed romantic tension between them all. Can't see that random outsiders with quite particular attitudes ever integrate themselves too quickly in these circumstances.

Imagine a world where I wasn't using six* separate (!!!) streaming services this season to follow the shows I like but each of the services had all of the best features of their rivals and I could send my money to the best ones - ahh, UK distributors, please make it happen and share your shows across the other platforms!

R

* Actually I'm using seven but only six are deliberately UK-friendly ^^; and I'm paying for three of them, which means that the others aren't getting a penny because my streaming budget only goes so far. Please guys, consolidate.
Even though this has been brought up in other threads before, I feel like it needs to be highlighted at every opportunity as it's the biggest problem facing the UK anime consumer at the moment.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders 16 - When Joseph takes more of a centre stage, the show becomes a little more entertaining all of a sudden. Maybe i'm just biased because i still think he's the best jojo, but there is this added element of humour added in which is somewhat lacking otherwise and adds to the charm the series has properly made.

Sailor Moon:Crystal 2 - Another good episode. The main issue i have now, and i think it'll become rather constant as things progress, is that transformation sequence. I honestly think they would've been better off keeping to the style of the animation with it instead of going CG. It's daunting and takes away from the charm the art otherwise has. Maybe it needs to grow on me, but i just can't see it happening.

Baka and test - Eps 6-8

Really enjoying this, shame only season 1 is on US netflix i'll have to get season 2 & the OVAs soon. Is it worth trying to get the US blu-rays of it?

Too late to get them on Blu-ray now (for Season 2 so far), they're re-releasing the entire series onto S.A.V.E. (DVD only). Only option now is to find them on third party sellers.

But Season 2 is available on Funimation's YouTube channel.

Terror in Resonance - Episodes 1 & 2

Great start to the show which you would expect when Shinichiro Watanabe is involved. Also need to get around to watching Aldnoah.Zero as I've heard it's supposedly the best show of the season thus far.

I'd love to know the reason for this. You would instantly think it's a budgetary constraint stopping them from animating something so elaborately by hand, but for a reusable transformation sequence in such a big title you would hope that isn't it. Legitimate concern these days is that they didn't think their animators would do a good enough job, I suppose.
