Akame ga Kill! (Japanese Dub) - Episode 3

Due to the storm interfering with the connection I won't be able to watch any Crunchyroll episodes for the day. Guess I might finish off some Blu-rays then.

Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl (Japanese Dub) - Episodes 10 & 11
Heaven's Lost Property (English Dub) - Episodes 9 & 10

Tomoki's singing in English... in front of an audience... It was suffering. But on the other hand I really like the ED songs.

Anohana 1-3

Still outstanding.

Jormungand 1-8

Great to revisit this, it really is excellent. Fine dub so far as well.

Akame ga Kill 3

Was all ready to give this one up, but today's episode was pretty good. Cut out a lot of the waffling from the first two eps and just got down to the serious business of bloodshed. And if there's one thing this show does really well, it's the violence. I think as the art style is so 'budget', the violence is almost more surprising than it'd otherwise be. There were some pretty funny moments in this ep too.

Though that woman's death-by-wire near the start was pretty grim.

Terror in Residence ep1

Finally got around to watching the first episode of this the other night. Not in love with it (at least not yet), but I thought it was appreciably different - the vibe I got was less Death Note and more V for Vendetta. Will at least stick with it for a bit yet.

I finally finised Ikki Tousen Season 2, it took me ages to get through it, no idea why. It wasnt a bad series, I just wish it was more Nanyou centred I guess, I didn't give 2 sh*ts about Ryuubi (sp?), she was the character I was least interested in. I'm excited for Seasons 3 & 4 when I can spare the dosh to buy them (secretly hoping it'll be a DOTW one day :p).

I also watched episodes 1 & 2 of Welcome to the NHK. I hope I can get into it and enjoy it. Also watched episodes 1 & 2 of Persona 4 The Animation. Love it, it's just like the game hehe :)

Patlabor OVA 1: Pretty good opening ep but I need to watch more obviously. Will get back to ya'll soon.
I do hope you enjoy it after my championing it. I don't want to have to try and contain that feeling of incredulity that someone with such ordinarily good taste can possibly not enjoy something so awesome, like I failed to that time Fabio didn't like the Gunsmith Cats manga.

Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl (Japanese Dub) - Episode 12 (COMPLETE)
Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl (Japanese Dub) - OVA Episode (COMPLETE)
Heaven's Lost Property (English Dub) - Episode 13 (COMPLETE)
Heaven's Lost Property (English Dub) - OVA Episode (COMPLETE)
Tenchi Muyo!: War on Geminar (Japanese Dub) - Episodes 6 & 7 (ON-HOLD: Requires Part 2 BD/DVD)

So that now leaves the simulcasts, catalog simulcasts, Nyaruko Season 1, Toradora! and the incoming Devil is a Part Timer (currently being processed, should arrive Wednesday). There's also Blood-C film and Tiger & Bunny: The Beginning but I'll save those for the main series.

Thoughts on the three titles:
- Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl is surprisingly interesting. The OVA episode does sort of explain one or two things while also adding some thought to the situation (like whether there are really aliens or ESPers out there) but it does provide a good closure to the series. OP is pretty fun to listen to after an episode or two. I recommend it.
- Heaven's Lost Property is very repetitive in terms of the main character's desire (and as a result some daft situations that are hard to watch) but the story itself is enjoyable. I look forward to picking up Forte sometime in the future. I recommend for the fan service folks only.
- Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar is surprisingly good for a spin-off of the Tenchi-verse. Kenshi is cool and the girls are likeable. Now I wish I bought Part 2 alongside Part 1. I recommend it if you like the Tenchi-verse and are a fan of fanservice (there's a lot), if you haven't watched any of the Tenchi shows then this show is still easy to watch (as long as you are aware that the Tenchi-verse is a harem (with some being ecchi) franchise).
