Toradora! (Japanese Dub) - Episode 1

Going sub over dub (might do this with every release from now on, haven't listened to the dub before you ask). In terms of Blu-ray quality it's very good though the OP/ED feels a bit off (must be my eyesight heh).

Received my copy this morning too, in the middle of some other stuff so I'll hold off for a bit on watching. Found an interesting link that suggested it was one of the first titles to be upscaled using Sony's new tech, noticeably sharper quality compared to their previous method looking at the demo pictures.

This morning I watched

DearS Ep 6 - last 5 mins - really not getting into this, especially given I started watching Ep6 last weekend and didn't bother to finish it. It's something I thought about picking up a few years back but it was unavailable at the time, guess I'm not as enthused now.

Hentai Price & the Stony Cat - Episodes 1-5 - Resolved the initial problem quite quickly but I see they have more in store. Looking at the bit rate my player says it's running at it looks like Sentai are getting better at encoding.
 
SAO II - ep two.

Man, this is getting good now. Tonally, feels completely different from the first season (in this episode at least) - more mature, bleaker, more clinical. Reminded me a bit of the sniper ep in GITS. Always nice to have a few nods to first-person shooters with the down-the-sights camera POV too.

Toradora 1-2 rewatch

It was actually a little nostalgic hearing Pre-parade again! Must say that I'm very impressed with the English dub so far, it's very natural and fitting. The series itself remains one of my all-time favourites.

Looks like we're in for another trippy Space Dandy Episode next week.
That second SAO II episode was also pretty good. Sinon should have her own show.
