It also shows the demographic they are aiming at.

Just seen Akame ga Kill! 01 and was impressed!! I've been meaning to check out the manga and will definitely now as I loved how dark it got towards the end.

So out of the 3 on my list to checkout this season I've seen it's 3 to carry on watching. 10 more to go.

I really enjoined the episode. I too thought just radio the station, but it would of been less dramatic and I also thought it was how the team would bond before (as I correctly guessed) they would end up working together.
B-but, my logic!

Also I didn't mind the boobs as its just something I expect to see. Plus it was already in the PV 2. I was actually glad it wasn't that much of a defining factor. I also thought she could do with a sports bra.
I admittedly didn't watch any of the PVs as I actually had very little time to watch PVs this time around. I wouldn't have minded it (after all, I am an avid supporter of the Senran Kagura game series and I read To Love Ru Darkness), if hadn't been so ridiculous (I mean, that GIF is just...seriously? xD). It wasn't enough to stop me watching, but it was disappointing.

The series does have the most kickass ending theme I've heard in a long time though.

Surely, the most obvious solution with the whole purse-snatcher thing to be to simply inform the security at the next station of the incident and give them descriptions of the thieves so they could be intercepted at the platform, instead of commandeering a company train to go there yourself?

Also, while I did enjoy it, I felt that the bouncing boobs and the panty shots really let the episode down. I mean, seriously?

Christ, that makes Orehime and Rangiku from Bleach look positively flat chested.

Oh, I'm aware. I have no problem with fanservice, but just not comments like that.
So, thought I'd try and get him to nip it in the bud, before comments like that became a regular thing for him.

Akame ga Kill!: Episode 1

I admit, I had my doubts when I saw the character designs, but I decided to watch it as I heard it was violent. And I was not disappointed.

Think it's time for you to take a very cold shower AF!

Rewatching Flowers of Evil on BD, still a masterpiece of mood and tension.

Just watched Knights of Sidonia Ep. 1. Couldn't really enjoy it as the stream on Netflix was slow. Often the voices would be ahead of the animation.

Surely, the most obvious solution
This is only obvious if your goal is to merely catch the people they were after. :p

(I say that mainly in jest, but there is certainly an argument that they wanted to do it the way they went about it so they could make a good impression... of sorts)

Eureka 7 Episode 44
Shangri-La Episodes 9 & 10
Durarara Episodes 3 & 4

And comments like these are why I long for a breast reduction.
I agree with you there GolGotha. I never watched or read Eiken for the same reason.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders (Japanese Dub) - Episode 4
Gintama (Japanese Dub) - Episode 20
Haikyu!! (Japanese Dub) - Episodes 1 & 2

Time for me to start another new anime on Crunchyroll (might as well make use of it since I am paying monthly). This time being Haikyu!! the Volleyball series, I really enjoyed Kuroko no Basket (Season 1) and while I did see the first episode of Haikyu!! elsewhere I'm watching it again to recap what happens at the beginning. I'm glad it was picked up (thanks Sentai, don't screw it up) since it could bring back the chance of Sport shows being successful in the English areas (after shows like Big Windup! [Baseball], Hajime no Ippo [Boxing] and Initial D [Street Racing] started to decline and thus dropped completely leaving them incomplete).

Also, that scene in Episode 2 - PRICELESS.

And, I just made it worse. I shouldn't have even bothered.
You could always smack him into the air towards the sun.

Barakamon 01 Looks like it'll be a good fun series.
Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun 01 I liked it, good fun.
Sabagebu! 01 Funny in places, nice detail in the guns and a good no brain series.
Space Dandy S02E01 Space Dandy being Space Dandy (good as always)

So having watched episode one of everything I definitely want to (except for late starters Zankyou no Terror, Rokujouma no Shinryakusha!?, and Tokyo ESP), here's how Summer is shaping up for me:

Totally biased rankings because I don't care

1 ) Hanayamata - Too cute for words (even these words). Lots of eye candy from Madhouse's wonderful artists, and easily the most moe of any of these shows.

2 ) Glasslip - Such a wonderful feeling of escapism (as with basically all PA Works shows), the setting and aesthetics of the show are to die for. I thought the first episode thrummed with an undercurrent of a truly emotional story building up, and I would compare this more to AnoHana than to Tari Tari at this early stage. Also I think I am in love with Hayami Saori's voice coming out of Yanagi's mouth.

3 ) Sword Art Online II - Don't Asuna and Kirito just look the cutest with their color coordination? Plus OH YEAH, Sawashiro Miyuki voicing one of the best secondary characters in the series.

4 ) Barakamon - Anyone who knows me might just accuse me of a slightly fetishistic love of rural Japanese dialects, but I had a massive smile on my face during the whole of this episode. I can imagine this at least reaching the level of something like Usagi Drop.

5 ) Tokyo Ghoul - I thought this was the most consistently exciting show so far, and really felt like it had a tangible, cohesive visual design. Plus Touka is... well, she seems like a very nice girl.

6 ) Aldnoah.Zero - Has a lot of potential, but has set itself up for a big fall if it doesn't deliver properly on the last five minutes of the episode. There was a lot of exposition here, and I didn't feel as engaged with the characters as I usually do even right at the start of Urobuchi's shows.

7 ) RAIL WARS! - The train bits were done in a really fun way! The "fanservice" is weirdly a complete throwback to ten years ago! I can't imagine this being anything less than entertaining.

8 ) Akame ga Kill! - 11.5 minutes of looking like a terrible rehash of every bad shounen series from the 90s turned into a last ten minutes full of tonal shifts and slightly more intrigue. It was a bit... well... silly, overall, but I think it can come back from this.

9 ) Sailor Moon - This felt just like a really old show should, for both better and worse. Also they seem to have ripped off Madoka Magica a lot.

10 ) Locodol - This was a fun enough little show, but I didn't think the main characters did enough to carry it. Perhaps when the cast expands a little.

11 ) ARGEVOLLEN - It's just like VOTOMS! Sort of. I expect this to be a slow burner, anyway.

Possibly more realistic ranking

Glasslip
Barakamon
Tokyo Ghoul
Aldnoah.Zero
Hanayamata
Sword Art Online
Sailor Moon
Akame ga Kill
Locodol
RAIL WARS!
ARGEVOLLEN

Haikyu!! (Japanese Dub) - Episodes 3, 4 & 5

5 episodes in under 6 hours. Haikyu!! just amazes me, also the OP is beast (SPYAIR also sang the first OP for SamFlam which I also liked).

Glasslip 1

Can somebody please explain why they everyone didn't like the weird emo kid? Also, what was that emo kid going on about?

All the chickens in the world must be saved from emo kids!
