Errrr...the site went down when I clicked the submit button for this post earlier this afternoon. Totally a coincidence, honest.

Silver Spoon S2 2
Watching this episode while eating lunch was a big mistake :( Otherwise it remains consistently excellent. Really looking forward to seeing the upcoming events being adapted.

Golden Time 14
This episode was all about Oka-chan. Dishing out the truth-bombs like no tomorrow. Also WOW.

Pupa 2
Yup, the short format is definitely becoming a total detriment to the story. I still like the art direction though. A 90's style 2-episode OVA would have been a better fit.

Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren Episode 2 - Watching this the night before me and my boyfriends six month anniversary was pretty perfect. Such a perfectly timed episode to air and watch.. xD
I was going to make another joke, but I think I exhausted them all on Facebook xD

I think you likely did, aye. xD

Tonight's viewing:

Kill la Kill episode 14 - Brilliant episode, just utter chaos but in true Studio Trigger style that only those guys can do so well at this point. Couple of really nice jokes in it too the money as bullets and the rulebooks as weapons were perfect.

Samurai Flamenco episode 13 - One of the better episodes of the series recently I feel, good character development and it felt like it was moving the plot along nicely. A certain twist could be far too obvious though.

Magical Warfare episode 2 - Not sure how I feel about this show, didn't enjoy the episode as much as I could have. Have to see what happens in the next episode or two really.

The Irresponsible Captain Tylor 1

I had the urge to take a break from newer anime and watch something cel-animated. I've been meaning to check out Tylor for years too, so I figured now was a good time. I love the visual design of the world already, and Tylor himself just makes me laugh. Looking forward to watching the rest.

Golden Time ep 14. This episode was heavy handed with the fanservice. Basically a beach episode without an actual beach.

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 s2 ep18-21.

Nagi no Asukara ep14. The story has jumped ahead five years into what looks like the beginning of the end for the surface dwellers.

Pupa ep 1-2. Oh dear, whoever it was that decided to split what should be an hour long ova into five minute chunks needs a slap. A horror story needs to build up atmosphere as it goes, and having a few minutes with a week long gap destroys any chance of doing that.

Space Dandy ep2. I'm still not feeling it. That said the bit with the noodle stand was interesting so there is hope for this series. I did feel compelled to eat a pot noodle after watching this though.

Sword Art Online Extra Edition - Bad introduction for newcomers to the series, but it wasn't too bad for existing fans of the series. The extra quest actually ended up being quite fun. Can't deny that I'm looking forward to season two a lot at this point either.

Good Luck Girl! (English Dub via Funimation BD) - Episodes 10, 11, 12, 13

Don't watch Episode 12 if you haven't watched the first half of Death Note.

Anyway, great series and highly recommended to watch (as long as you have seen or have knowledge about 20 other franchises to understand the joke).

Log Horizon episode 16 - Completely agreed with Josh above me, was a really strong episode and hopefully the next plays out just as nicely.

Nisekoi 2
I'm still not convinced that Shinbo is the right choice for director. Obviously, due to the timing of chapters vs episodes there were going to be some scenes that didn't make it, but the scenes that were removed...urgh. The initial meeting at Raku's home was cut short (and pretty much had the good jokes removed, such as the Banana-Enka thing and the gang members quizzing them over whether they've kissed yet or not). I mean, they weren't crucial, but urgh. Also, the scene in the movie theatre where Raku is encouraged by both gang members to place hold the sleeping Chitoge's hand was easily the funniest moment in all of the first volume, but nope - let's cut that too! Also, then referencing the punch-lines of those scenes with eye-catches was just like rubbing it in my face. Claude also saw his role reduced a fair bit, losing all of his internal monologues which actually explain why he's so concerned about their dating being a sham.

Personally, I would have kept those scenes in and ended the episode with Raku running into Onodera at the park, which is where chapter 3 of the manga ended.
