Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage (Season 2) - Episodes 7 to 12 [19 to 24 chronologically], aka the Fujiyama Gangsta Paradise Arc

Such a fantastic and dark conclusion to the second season. I loved it, with the amount of action, death and awesome scenes from the Russian soldier herself. This season has reached my Top 5 favourite Anime shows of all time (alongside Berserk, Clannad: After Story, Cowboy Bebop & Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood).
 
Attack On Titan: Episodes 1-4

Wanted something nice and easy to ease my way back into watching anime and this seemed to have garnared a lot of praise and hype. The first episode really set the tone nicely, with episodes 2 and 3 serving to provide character development - especially for Eren. The first few episodes served nicely in building up the world and the gravity of the situation, whilst episode 3 brought some pretty good light hearted comedic moments. Feels like it'll be a good series.
 
Dragonball season 1 - disc 2

Covers the rest of the "Search for the Dragonballs" arc. Some really daft moments like Bulma being turned into a carrot may put off people coming to this after DBZ but it remains very charming. Nice nod to the future when after Goku goes Oozaru for the first time the others speculate he maybe an alien. Ends with the introduction of Kururin my favourite of the non-Saiyan characters.
 
Guilty Crown - Episodes 1 + 2 (Dub)
Lupin the Third: Fujiko Mine - Episode 1 (Dub)

First time I've seen anything Lupin related but that first episode was a bundle of fun.
 
Mayo Chiki 1-7
I bought this at the London MCM Comic Con and only finally got around to starting it last night. Having read the manga, the pacing of some of the story seemed really odd (the first 3 volumes of the manga were covered in 7 episodes) and I am disappointed that Nagare simply doesn't appear as threatening as he does in the manga - he comes across as nothing but pure comedy relief here.

That's interesting, I watched the Anime first and the Manga pacing seemed a bit off to me, like they'd skipped/assumed some knowledge. Still need to read volume 3 though.
 
Dragonball -season 1, disc 3

Mostly charts the beginnings of Krillin and Goku's friendship. Their epic bromance is my second favourite thing in the Dragonball franchise. Muten Roshi continues to be a lovable perve with a love for fanservice.
 
Majestic Prince 20

Hehehe, Izuru rocks. "Oniichan!" They handled the fallout from the last episode really gracefully as well. It's all building up nicely to the finale now.

The Garden of Sinners Movie 7 - Murder Speculation (Part 2)

<3 This is still easily of the best series I have ever seen.
I did have playback problems with my BD on my PS3 though. Around chapter 8, whenever I tried to skip ahead it would get stuck on 1.5x speed and I'd be unable to do anything whether it be change speed or Stop/Play until my PS3 crashed to the XMB. Bit strange considering I've never had this issue before and It was fine everywhere else.
Anyway, I'll hopefully get around to watching the Epilogue for the first time later on today. Crossing my fingers that Aniplex Japan will do a sub BD for the new movie too.
 
Sword Art Online, episodes 1-4.
I typically don't watch shows of the sword-swinging variety, so I might just be the sort of person who doesn't 'get' series like this, but I can't see where all the love and affection for SAO stems from. The pacing is off more often than it's not, characters are introduced and then fifteen minutes later tossed into the meat grinder in a piss-poor attempt at injecting emotion into the plot, the writer(s) seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of MMORPGs and their constituent mechanics, and the plot, f*ck me.

Thousands of players are trapped in a video game, literally fighting for their lives, but never mind that, we've got f*cking christmas events to attend and hot, kinky, virtual sexy times! Urgency, people.

However... Hayami Saori does have a role, so all is somewhat forgiven.

Slight addendum: SAO, episodes 5-6.

A wild Asuna appears. Completely out of the blue of course and is now a stereotypical, hot-headed, semi-tsundere type of gal.. :roll:

However, the pacing troubles seem to have been thrown to the wayside with these two episodes, so hopefully the series keeps it up. Also, the music is starting to grow on me, the OP especially.

The pacing of the earlier episodes comes from how the story adapted the light novels. Originally, it was only a single novel that focused purely on Kirino and Asuna. However, after the success of the first novel, more were written, including side stories focusing on other things that happened during Kirino's time in Sword Art Online. When it came to making the anime, the decision was made to place those events in chronological order instead of publication order.

Dragonball season 1, discs 4 and 5

Covered to the end of the Tournament Saga, then three filler episodes to take us to the end of the set. Written more in the out of ten thread.
