Immoral Guild episodes 9-12: silly but (filthy) fun in the forest. Enjoyable but not at all intellectually taxing (yay)

Restaurant to Another World episodes 1-4: I like how we're being introduced slowly to the characters and the dimension travelling eatery. So it's a seven day cycle which I guess means just the seven worlds being visited? Or is there a more complex structure. It will be interesting to see how it develops.

Restaurant to Another World episodes 5-9: still developing the characters nicely. I realised my previous theory was unworkable as, if it opens to a different door each day, the customers would never interact. So it only opens on Saturday, to all alternate worlds simultaneously. In SF stories (and there are many) this would lead to trade between the different worlds. I assume he's in Japan for the rest of the week stocking up. They do love their food porn, don't they?

Restaurant to Another World episodes 10-12: satisfying conclusion to the series. So all the doors are on the same world (and its moon, that one fooled me for a bit)? I wonder where series 2 will take us.

My Bride Is A Mermaid episodes 1-7: this is insane! A 12 (?) year old boy is saved from drowning by a mermaid and is forced to promise to marry her, despite the protests from her father, who happens to be an undersea yakuza boss. There's also a tiny psychotic assassin who lives in a conch shell. This show sounds like the VAs were really having a lot of fun. It's a SAVE edition, so the price was low but the episodes are crammed on and the visual quality is also low.
 
Bang Brave Bang Bravern - Episode 2

Whoever was writing the subtitles for this episode must have been in hysterics while they were doing it especially while Bravern was describing how he felt while Isami was 'entering' him to the military officials šŸ˜‚. It was good fun but I agree with the ANN review of this episode that the comedy and the water boarding just didn't blend well.

As much as I hate ugly CG (Megaton Musashi was another good example) in anime I think I have just accepted that's the way the industry works and don't get as wound up about it as I used to.

I clapped like a seal when the music came on in the first episode, but the second is on another level entirely. Itā€™s been quite a while since Iā€™ve seen a show so utterly bananas. Voices of a Distant Star

A latecomer to this and picked up the BD in the AL Christmas sale. It borrows A LOT from Gunbuster (certain scenes are lifted almost cut by cut), but I did enjoy it, I think it told a very touching story and felt surprisingly complete given it's short runtime.

Patema Inverted

I've been wanting to re-watch this for a while and I haven't seen it since my kickstarter disc arrived nearly a decade ago. Patema Inverted was a film I really enjoyed and I happy to find that it holds up incredibly well and I think it is a fantastic sci-fi drama film.

I'm itching to re-watch Buffy, I saw it all on TV when it aired and then got the DVD boxset for my birthday in 2009 and watched it all again (took me nearly 4 years!!!), I've been holding out for a Blu-ray release to watch it again but there isn't much sign of one unfortunately so might have to pull the DVDs out.

My Bride Is A Mermaid episodes 8-13: it appears every large aggressive creature of the sea can turn into a human and join a yakuza mob. And they all have a relationship to our two (so far) mermaid maidens. Love certainly doesn't run smoothly!
 
Restaurant to Another World season 2 episodes 1-8: golly, that just flew by. If I was going to hire security for a restaurant, I'd want a telepathic dragon too! I feel hungry now.

Little Witch Academia (Rewatch) episodes 17-25 (Complete. LWA has a lot of charm and likeable characters, though the story beats are still rather predictable upon rewatch - would still love a second season some day though.) 3.5/5

Liz and the Blue Bird (Film) A solid spinoff of Sound Euphonium that I can see myself revisiting in the future. 4/5
 
Restaurant to Another World season 2 episodes 9-12: what a delightful conclusion to the series. I love how everyone who walks through the door, from tiny fairires to teenage boys to giant lizardmen, becomes an instant gourmand. Strange how appealing it can be to just watch people eat food.
