Pop Team Epic
Insane and weird. Took me a while to get the humour but when it was funny it was great.

Also been watching episodes of Recess on Disney+. Its so good and so well written.

It takes a few episodes to get going but by the end I really loved this series. Great apocalyptic worldbuilding and a well developed cast of Good Boys with a fantastic soundtrack by Yoko Kanno. Just ignore the four recap episodes shoved in the middle.

Kakushigoto episode 8 Lacklustre celebration and birthday hopes.

Smashing the O-Line (Film) Possibly the darkest film so far from this collection, Seijun Suzuki’s directing here is also amongst the best I’ve seen from the films on the two Arrow Video early years sets.

Sorcerer Hunters Episodes 18 to 26 (complete)

Last few episodes picked up a bit for a longer storyline with the villain.

Unusual in that the "next episode" preview was before the ending credits, and one annoyance I found with the ADV discs is after the 3rd episode it would go into trailers for other shows rather than to the 4th episode on that disc

Tears To Tiara-decided to rewatch this after a few years, I can't believe how expensive this is on the used market for the old Sentai bluray set. I got mine not too long after it was released. It's not a bad series at all.

Mellowlink kind of runs parallel to the TV series, I think Case Irvine and Finder are set after the TV series and before Phantom Arc.

Watching in chronological order does spoil some of the TV series, so it's good that you've seen that first.

Man with a Shotgun (Film) A revenge tale with an American west flair to it that sees the shotgun-wielding protagonist taking on a small town to avenge the death of his girlfriend. It’s another lively entry and One of the few Seijun Suzuki films on these sets to be in colour.

Beastars episodes 7-12 (Complete. It felt a bit strange going back to where this series all started but this has been a solid adaption so far and the animation worked pretty well too despite my initial reservations. Legosi shines as the protagonist here even early on when they’re more reserved in their eccentricity. Looking forward to season 2.) 4/5

Belladonna of Sadness (Film) Another entry into the Animerama series from director Eiichi Yamamoto. This film is quite the trip though I think I appreciated the animation and stylistic choices more than the overall story. 3/5

SAC_2045 ep4-5 (English dub)

Standard is a rather odd addition to the team. I can get wanting to have comedy relief, but he’s so consistently shown to be inept that I can’t understand why he’s even there in the first place - I just feel sorry for him, more than anything else.

Actually got really into it. Only half a story so will have to wait to find out how well it stacks up. Only real disappointment was the lack of Stand Alone episodes. Only 1 really. Though it was probably my favourite! I'm a real sucker for Batou episodes.

Ajin season 1 rewatch and season 2
Great show. For a show about immortals it manages to be so tense! Interesting cast and I like the animations too. The IBMs look great!
