Another EPisodes 1-3

Started rather slow but I was enjoying the creepy ambience that filled every inch of the show and then that ending to episode 3 really kicked things up a notch!

Over the last three days, I've watched the entirety of Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun. I absolutely loved the series and for the first time in a while, found myself laughing out loud throughout. I will admit however, that the final episode was a let down.

I need a season two.

Death Parade ep10.

High School DxD: New s2 OVA. What the hell did I just watch

The iDOLM@STER ep1-2.

Yona of the Dawn ep23. This felt like a good place to end this first season so I have to wonder why there is another episode.

Yowamushi Pedal: Grande Road s2 ep22.

From Yesterday (18th March):
Parasyte -the maxim- (Japanese Dub) - Episode 23

From Today (19th March):
Your lie in April (Japanese Dub) - Episode 22 (Complete)

The first half of the episode was spectacular and emotional. The second half was quite a surprise (well to me anyway) and overall I'm very satisfied with how the series ended.

I'm with you on that, a great episode all around, but the first half was in a league of its own. Absolutely masterful stuff - and some of the finest animation quality I've seen outside of films.

Hyouka ep1-3

One of the anime society's new picks, this wasn't something I would probably have given much consideration to otherwise, but it's more interesting than I thought it might be. While it looks to be little more than another vaguely moe light novel adaptation, the quality of animation is (at times) quite remarkable and it throws up some unexpectedly surreal imagery, lending something pleasingly expressionistic to the exchanges between characters. Unfortunately, the story so far has been extremely mild. Not unpleasantly so, but if it weren't for the quirky visuals, I doubt it would hold my interest as much as it has done.

Your Lie In April 22 (End)

Everything about this episode was absolutely phenomenal; the animation, the music and of course, the story.
I actually found the first half of the episode to be reminiscent of The Wind Rises in how Kousei's performance and Kaori's death were handled.

Then the second half came. I will admit that tears were shed.

I genuinely think it was one of the best final episodes to a series I've ever seen. The final ep should leave you fulfilled, and this absolutely did, with tenderness as well as incredible technical skill.I like that they didn't linger on things too as they could have easily gone way too soppy with focusing on Kaori's actual death/dead body, or whether Arima actually ended up with Tsubaki after Kaori died.

The bit where the light started exploding out of her body just absolutely blew my mind.

Legit cried because Sakaki finally got a job...what is unemployment doing to me?
A good episode, albeit a bit weird at times.

Your Lie in April 22

Wasn't thrilled about the first half being largely a dream sequence, but given the content of second half of the episode, I'm happy with it in hindsight. Great conclusion to an all time top series.
