After a gap of nearly two years, one of my friends and I have resurrected our youtube review series in which we swap films to try and better understand each others' interests. Basically he gives me a horror film, I give him an anime film and then we discuss them on camera in a vague bid to be entertaining. It doesn't always play out as either of us expect it to, but it can be interesting to see what someone with no background in the subject makes of a film you spring on them.

For this installment, I persuaded him to watch the madcap Lupin outing, Secret of Mamo.

The Irresponsible Captain Tylor Episodes 1-3

Looks bloody awful played through my BD player on a HDTV but thoroughly enjoyed the first episodes.

Agreed, it's rushing through the story and is suffering for it.

He does like Hakafu's little cat tooth that shows at times lol.

Ikki Tousen Great Guardians episode 2. Probably will rewatch as didn't give it my full attention.

I still can't quite believe they actually went *there* with the poo joke in the previous week's ep.
 
What boggles my mind even further is that, while it didn't occur to me until afterwards, I think that excrement had a black matte censor patch over the top of it.

"What did you do at work today, dear?"
"I censored a drawing of poo".

To be honest I was just surprised the poo stayed whole when Polnaref kicked it - talk about firm!

I've seen bits of the second series already, but I'm only now getting around to filling in the blanks. Quite glad I did - that one was really funny.
 
Great Teacher Onizuka 1-11 - I've been working on this for the past couple weeks, mostly thanks to crunchyroll nabbing it a month ago. Damn it's good. There's something about this series which really makes it stand out, most probably all thanks to that damned fool Onizuka, but it's so much fun. My print screen button is rather tired however due to all the screencapping of facial expressions you get from it all.

If GTO has taught me anything so far, it's to never own a Cresta and work at a highschool at the same time.
